Happy Friday! TGIFC160

It’s Friday and time for an Inspiration Challenge!  This week’s inspiration is All About Wood!  My FAVORITE (I probably say that about a lot of stuff) Designer Series Paper is the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper 6x6 Stack!  I love the variety of options and it fits my rustic personality to a T.

When the theme is “All About Wood”, I can’t NOT use my favorite Designer Series Paper.  I am also giving you a sneak peek into how well it works with the Springtime Thinlits Dies (available June 1st, 2018).  What do you think?

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  2. Cut a piece of Wood Textures 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 5 7/8″ x 5 7/8″.  Adhere with Snail Adhesive.
  3. Cut a piece of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock to 5 5/8″ x 5 5/8″.
  4. Cut a piece of Wood Texture Designer Series Paper to 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Adhere to the Grapefruit Grove with Snail Adhesive.  Wrap a piece of Linen Thread around (2 times), securing it with a bow.

  8. Crop the butterfly using Grapefruit Grove Cardstock, a Big Shot and the die from Springtime Impressions, Add 3 Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots to the body of the butterfly.  Adhere as shown with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.,
  9. Stamp the Thinking of You sentiment from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set in Grapefruit Grove Ink onto the White Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.
  10. With a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, highlight the right side edges of the sentiment (for depth).
  11. Add a few more Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots for a final touch!

One of the sneak-peeks from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog (available June 1, 2018) that I am sharing with you today, is one that sits in my Top 10 must-haves.   The Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies, which I used on the card in this post.  It is also available as a bundle, which includes the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set, along with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies.  Purchase as the bundle for a savings of 10%!

The details of the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies makes creation a stunning card as easy as 1-2-3.  The dies do the work for you, creating a beautiful focal point by just zipping it through the Big Shot with a piece of Designer Series Paper.

I do believe that Grapefruit Grove, an All-New 2018-2020 In Color, will be my new favorite.  I love how it paired with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  It is also available in several new Embellishments and as a color in Designer Series Paper Packs.  I highly recommend adding this color to your collection.
