TGIF! I love this color challenge!
Crumb Cake and Petal Pink are two of my favorite colors from Stampin’ Up! When I saw what challenge was up next, my mind immediately gravitated towards the All-New Good Morning Magnolia Bundle from the up-coming 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. This catalog goes live on June 4, 2019 and I cannot wait.

I know, you might be thinking…”where is the Pool Party color on this card”? Well, I promise you it is there, it may just be a tad subtle. I added it as a light watercolor wash over the “Thinking of You” sentiment. The card was so gorgeous after adding the ribbon and watercolored magnolia, that I struggled with where I should add a hint of Pool Party. I think adding it to the sentiment was the perfect touch.
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
Cut 1 1/2″ pieces of the 3/8″ Magnolia Lane Ribbon & Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon. Fold and adhere together with Mini Glue Dots. Adhere to the backside of a 5 x 5″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock (upper right corner) as shown. Add a bow of Linen Thread slightly below with a Mini Glue Dot.
Cut 5 1/2″ pieces of the same ribbon as above, wrap around and adhere to the backside of the Crumb Cake cardstock with Snail adhesive. Wrap a piece of Linen Thread around the center of the ribbon, securing with a bow as shown. Tie a second bow of Linen Thread (slightly smaller) and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the magnolia flower and sentiment in Jet Black Stazōn Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color the flower with an Aqua Painter, Petal Pink and Crumb Cake Classic Ink. Watercolor wash the sentiment with an Aqua Painter and Pool Party Ink. Crop the flower with a die-cutting machine and coordinating die (Magnolia Memory Dies). Snip the sentiment with Paper Snips. Adhere both to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add Gold Metallic Pearls as shown.
Aren’t the Gold Metallic Pearls on this card just the perfect added touch! They coordinate well with the tone of the card and make my heart go pitter-patter.
