It’s Friday and time for a Theme! This month’s theme is Awesome Friends. I just acquired the We Must Celebrate Stamp Set from the 2018 Occasions Catalog and I knew I wanted to use this for my Awesome Friends Creation!
Those furry little friends are just adorable and perfect for coloring, and I LOVE to color! I used my trusty Aqua Painter with Shimmery White Cardstock on this creation!
Card Details:
Card Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 11 in. Scored/Folded at 5 1/2 inches for a standard sized card that fits perfectly in our Medium Sized Envelopes.
2nd Layer: Petal Passion Designer Series Paper cut to 4 1/8 in. x 5 3/8 in. Adhered to the card base with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
3rd Layer: Basic Black Cardstock cut to 3 7/8 in x 5 1/8 in and adhered to the 2nd Layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4th Layer: Shimmery White Cardstock cut to 3 3/4 in x 5 in, adhered with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I wrapped two pieces of the Basic Gray 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration Item – Free with $50 Purchase) with a 1/4 inch space between to act as a fun layer behind the horizontal strip.
Horizontal Strip: 2 1/4 in x 3 3/4 in Shimmery White Cardstock, Smooched with Smoky Classic Ink. The Ticket Tear Border Punch did its job on the edges to add some texture. Adhered to 4th Layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellishments: Basic Gray 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon, Metallics Sequin Assortment

Ink: Soft Suede, Smoky Slate & Powder Pink (applied with an Aqua Painter), Basic Black Archival Ink Pad
Tools & Adhesive: Aqua Painter (medium), Stampin’ Trimmer, Ticket Tear Border Punch, Paper Snips, Clear Stamp Blocks I & G, Fast Fuse Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Fine-Tip Glue Pen
I just love the sentiments and cute images included in this stamp set. The images are spaced far enough apart that you can snip them out separately and layer them in fun ways. I have seen a few cards created with them stacked vertically on top of each other. SO CUTE!

I love adding sequins to my cards, it just adds an eye-catching accent that makes the card. The Fine-Tip Glue Pen makes adhering the sequins a snap!
