The Global Design Project has an awesome sketch challenge for you this week! Simple and easily duplicated, this sketch can work for so many different stamp sets and shapes, truly endless possibilities.
#madforplaid I LOVE PLAID! Buffalo check and classic plaid designs speak to me on so many levels. The gorgeous gold foil accents that have been added to the Wrapped in Plaid 6×6 Specialty Designer Series Paper really push the beauty of the paper to the top!
The Stitched Shapes circle die and the Stitched Labels edge die pair well together and fill the requirements of the sketch challenge well. The deep colors of Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce make for a great traditional colored Christmas Card.
Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4.
Adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere a 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock as shown with Snail Adhesive.
Crop a 1 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White Cardstock through a die-cutting and embossing machine with the Stitched Labels edge die. Adhere to the Shaded Spruce with Snail Adhesive.
Zip a 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock through a die-cutting and embossing machine tucked inside the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere with Snail Adhesive.
Crop the following circles with a die-cutting and embossing machine: Shaded Spruce – 2 5/8 Layering Circle Die, Whisper White – 2 3/8 Stitched Shapes Circle Die, Cherry Cobbler – 2 1/8 Layering Circle Die. Adhere together with Snail Adhesive and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use the Pine Tree Punch to crop two pieces of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. Adhere one with Snail Adhesive and one with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment (Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set) in Versamark ink onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess, and set with a Heat Tool. Snip with Paper Snips so only the ‘Christmas Cheer’ remains. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add three Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels as shown.
Tie a bow of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine. Adhere with a rolled Mini Glue Dot.
