Happy Monday Everyone!

The Global Design Project has an awesome sketch challenge for you this week!  The Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, part of the Animal Expedition Suite of products, from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, is front and center!  I love how the images can easily be snipped out and become the focal point of your creation.

I needed quick and easy as I didn’t have a lot of time for this creation!  I love that the images are colored and ready for you!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.  Score and fold at 4 1/4″.
  • Cut at a slight angle, 2 1/2″ from the fold down to approx. 1 1/4″ on the other side.
  • Cut a piece of Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (Giraffe Spots) to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  Adhere to the backside of the angled card front with Snail Adhesive.
  • Wrap a piece of Linen Thread around as shown and secure with a bow.
  • Using a Big Shot and Stitched Circle Framelit Die, crop a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Flip the Designer Series Paper around and snip out the sloth, giraffe, and chameleon with a Paper Snips.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Using Washi Tape, mask the Big Time of the “thank you BIG TIME” sentiment stamp. Ink it up in Soft Suede ink, remove the Washi Tape mask and stamp onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Repeat these steps, only this time use the Washi Tape to mask the thank you portion.  Use a Paper Snips to snip apart the sentiment and adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Soft Suede is one of my favorite neutral colors!  It coordinates well with the animals from the Animal Expedition Suite, so I used it for my color base, You can click on the image below to view all the items that are included in the Animal Expedition Suite, in my online store!

Sunshine & Rainbows for #GDP135 Theme Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone!  Sunshine & Rainbows

I am finally back in the game for the GDP!  This week the Global Design Project has a fabulous theme challenge: Show Me the Sunshine! and living in WI, the sunshine is so very welcome and feels so nice!  I have an array of cards to share with you today!  They were all created using the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle, which I felt was perfect for this challenge.

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Pizza Box Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Today’s post brings you six creations using the retiring Sunshine & Rainbows Photopolymer Bundle.  I love those little Mini Pizza Boxes and I saw a vision in my mind of a rainbow on the top of it.  I used the largest Layering Circle Framelits Dies to crop out a circle and then I placed a piece of Vellum Cardstock behind it.  I used an array of colors from the Regals Family to create my rainbow.  What do you think?

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Birthday Card Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

This card is kind of a mirror image of the Mini Pizza Box.  I used the same rainbow of colors but also added some Linen Thread, a small wooden heart from the Hearts & Stars Elements and a shining sun!

I love the sentiments that are included in the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set.  The fonts are lovely and I can’t turn down pretty mixed fonts!

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Thinking of You Card Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

With this card, I created the rainbow using the stamps (instead of the dies).  I stamped it on Shimmery White Cardstock and then used an Aqua Painter to blend the color so it filled in outside of the stamped lines. I then used a Paper Snips to crop out the entire rainbow as a whole.

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Thinking of You Card Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

On this card, I used the large heart from the Hearts & Stars Elements and colored it with Stampin’ Write Markers to mimic the rainbow.  This card makes me thinks of the old Skittles commercial, anyone else think that too?

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Card Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

The unicorn from the Myths & Magic Suite of products pairs perfectly with this Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle, don’t you think? I love the bright and cheery feeling this card portrays.

Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin' Up! from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Retiring May 31st, 2018. Card Created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

And last but not least is the card that is bringing on the sunshine!  I created a little shaker card using punches, dies, and vellum, along with the Gold Flakes. Crushed Curry is one of my favorite colors, and I think it works well for the sun!

Happy Monday Everyone!

The Global Design Project has a theme challenge this week and the theme is…Easter!!  GDP131 I plan on making several Easter cards this week so I was happy to get a jump on them by starting with this one.  I used that cute little bunny from the Sweet Little Something Stamp Set!

Sweet Little Something Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! From the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Easter Card by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! for #gdp131 Theme Challenge

Step-by-step Instructions:

  1. With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″.  Score and fold at 5.5″.
  2. Optional: Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  3. Cut a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock to 3″ x 5 1/2″. Using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, create two ribbon borders (one from each side).
  4. Cut two pieces of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper to the following sizes:  Flowers – 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, Stripes – 2 1/2″ x 4″.
  5. Adhere the Ribbon Border to the back of the Flower Designer Series Paper and then to the card with Snail Adhesive.
  6. Cut a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock to 3″x 3 1/4″ and 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock to 2 5/8″ x  2 7/8″.
  7. Stamp the Bunny (use a Stamparatus if you have one) in the following ink colors:  Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, and Crumb Cake.  Tip: Start with the shadowed image first as it makes it easier to line them up if you do not have a stamp positioning tool available.
  8. Snip the bunny image out with a Paper Snips.
  9. Snip out several floral images from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper.
  10. Layer and adhere elements together as shown:  Striped Designer Series Paper (step 4) Early Espresso Piece (step 6), snipped floral images, Whisper White Piece (step 6), snipped bunny image.
  11. Stamp the Happy Easter sentiment in Early Espresso Ink, the crop with the Classic Label Punch.  Stamp a flower in Pool Party and add to the edge of the sentiment.
  12. Add Glitter Epoxy Shapes for a final touch!
Sweet Little Something Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! From the 2018 Occasions Catalog. Easter Card by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! for #gdp131 Theme Challenge #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

The bunny from the Sweet Little Somethings Photopolymer 2-Step Stampin’ Set contains such detail, I could stare at it for minutes on end just to try and take in all the depth created by the 3 stamps to complete the look.  I used Crumb Cake for my base layer, Sahara Sand for my 2nd and Early Espresso for my 3rd layer. I used my all-new Stamparatus for PERFECT placement and stellar image results.
