Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop: In the Pines Bundle

I love a sunset peeking through a forest so I decided to make a card that brings it to life!  

Stampin’ Blends on Crumb Cake give a soft feel that works well for rustic creations.   The trees were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored with Light and Dark Mossy Meadow, as well as, Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blends. 

In the Pines Bundle

Pine Woods Dies
Craft a forest of paper pine trees with the Pine Woods Dies.9 dies. Largest die: 5-11/16″ x 7/8″ 

The sun was colored on a 1-1/2″ circle of Whisper White Thick Cardstock so that it popped a bit more from the background.  I roughed up the edges with a Bone Folder and stapled on a double bow of Linen Thread to the upper left corner. 

My late Mother-in-Law whom we lived with and cared for was a huge snowman collector…or I should say she had a lot of friends and family that loved to buy her anything and everything snowman.  She said they are always “happy” and have a smile on their face.  So whenever I see stamp sets with a snowman, I just have to have them to honor her.   The Snow Wonder Bundle was no exception.  

It pairs so well with the In the Pines Bundle too!

On this card, I wanted to show the variety of tree dies available with the In the Pines Bundle.  All images and die-cuts outside of the sentiment were colored with Stampin’ Blends.  The tree in the back was stamped, colored then cropped with the “outline” tree die.  I love the effect that it creates.
