TGIF! It’s time for color challenge!
Next Tuesday I’m leaving on a jet plane. We head to Florida for our family vacation with the intent to walk the streets of Universal for one or two days! I am excited to see all things Harry Potter so this piggy was pulling at me again.
Today, the TGIF Challenges Design Team is showcasing projects inspired by the color challenge below. Very Vanilla, Pale Papaya, and Pool Party.
NOTE: The edges of most pieces have been distressed with a bone folder or scissor edge.
Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Adhere the 4 x 5 1/2 piece of Pool Party Cardstock to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Zip a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Scalloped Contour Die. Apply a watercolor wash of Pale Papaya Classic Ink with a Water Painter. Adhere to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue once completely dry.
Adhere a 1 x 5 1/2 piece of Pool Party Cardstock as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Apply a watercolor wash of Pool Party Classic Ink to a 2 3/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Once dry, cover with the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Mask, taping in place (on the backside) with Washi Tape or similar. Add Matte Finish Embossing Paste with a Palette Knife. Remove the mask and allow a few minutes for the paste to dry.
Tie Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine around a piece of 3/8″ Diamond Weave Ribbon. Staple to the upper left corner as shown. Adhere to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Layering Circle Dies to crop a piece of Pool Party (2 1/2 scalloped)and Very Vanilla (2 3/8) Cardstock. Adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the pig in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Snip very closely with Paper Snips. Color with the following Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Ivory. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Basics Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool. Snip with Paper Snips. Adhere to the card with snipped-to-size Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
