GDP #321 Color Challenge with Happy Holly-Days

It’s Monday and time for a Global Design Project Challenge!

Begin by cutting a piece of Basic White 12×12 Cardstock in half (6 x 12).  Score and fold at 6.

Add a watercolor wash of Mint Macaron Classic Ink to a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with a Water Painter. Adhere to a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Stamp the images (bird and 9 holly) in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  Color with a Water Painter and the following Classic Inks:  Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Mint Macaron, and Cherry Cobbler.  Trim closely with Paper Snips. 

Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine along with the 3″ Layering Circle Die to crop a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  Adhere the snipped holly and bird images as shown with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock.  Cover with White Basics Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess.  Set with a Heat Tool.  Trim closely with Paper Snips. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Embellish with Black Classic Matte Dots (coming January 4, 2022).  

The Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper is a dream to color.  It  accepts water well and adding depth in color after each application has dried is easy peasy.  I alternated each holly with the two greens from this color challenge.
