It’s Monday and time for a Global Design Project Challenge!
#GDP328 is a CASE the DESIGNER challenge! The design team is casing the talented Janneke De Jong!
I loved her layout, so I took that as my inspiration to create my birthday card with a rustic feel. I haven’t colored with Watercolor Pencils in a long, long time (so long, I don’t remember doing it last), so decided to give it a go on this card….and I love the way it turned out.
Begin by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to emboss 4 x 5 1/4 pieces of Soft Suede and Crumb Cake card stock with the Timeworn Type 3D and Hive 3D Embossing Folders. Distress the edges with a Bone Folder or Paper Snips edge. Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the Blessings of Home large floral image in Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Color the largest flower on one image and the entire image on the other with the following Watercolor Pencils: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow.
Snip out the largest flower with Paper Snips and crop the full image with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the coordinating Flowers of Home Die.
Pull apart the threads of a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine. Loop and adhere as shown with Mini Glue Dots.
Adhere the floral images as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock. Cover with Clear Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool. Trim to size with a Paper Trimmer. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.
