Dragonfly Dreams, Window Shopping, A Perfect Match!
Today I am sharing with you two cute little boxes made with the Window Shopping Bundle and a few friends 🙂 Dragonfly Dreams, Window Shopping and Birthday Memories (a sneak peek) combine well together to create gift boxes for any occasion. They are the perfect size for small items such as candy, jewelry and more.
The Dragonfly Dreams Bundle and the Window Shopping Bundle (both from the 2017 Occasions Catalog) can be purchased with a 10% Discount through May 31st. I also incorporated the New Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and the New 1/4″ Copper Trim into my creation. These are two of my favorite new items in the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog going live June 1st at 2pm CST.
- I ran a piece of the lighter Wood Textures DSP through the Big Shot, tucked in between the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
- I cut the top piece just slightly smaller than the box top, wrapped it with 1/4″ Copper Trim and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- I used the Layering Squares Framelits Dies to cut the small box layers I adhered to the sides, again with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies, along with a darker pieces of Wood Textures DSP to crop out all the Dragonflies and Bees for embellishments,
- I cropped out a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, Stamped the Sentiment (from the Window Shopping Stamp Set) in Early Espresso, wrapped more 1/4″ Copper Trim and embellished it with the Medium Sized Dragonfly. All adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here is a closer look at the two bundles that the 10% DISCOUNT will be going away on May 31st. Although the items that make up the bundle with remain, the savings will not.
The Make a Wish Birthday Box also incorporates several Sneak Peeks of New Items from the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I love the bright and fun colors on this hexagon shaped box. The new Birthday Memories DSP and Coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits make crafting a quick and simple with a wow result. Great for the beginner paper crafter! Very nostalgic and a first that Framelits work with both stamped images and images from the DSP pack.
- The rosette behind the cake was created from 2 strips of Lemon-Lime Twist Cardstock cut at 1.5 x 6. I used the Simply Scored tool to score at every 2nd groove. I alternated the fold and then adhered the two pieces together to create the rosette. Add two to three strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of the rosette and firmly press it to the box top.
- I cut a piece of Pacific Point Cardstock with the Big Shot and a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
- The cake was easily cropped from a sheet of Birthday Memories DSP using the coordinating Framelit from the Birthday Friends Framelit Set. (All Available June 1st).
- I embellished the box with Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched-Edge Ribbon and a Red Balloon Honeycomb Embellishment. All these items are part of the New Birthday Memories Suite Available June 1st.
- The Make a Wish sentiment is from the Window Shopping Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pacific Point Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, Flagged the ends with the Paper Snips and added two Pacific Point Enamel Shapes on each side.
