Welcome to the July 2019 Artisan Blog Hop!

The Stampin’ Up! 2019 Artisan Design Team has so many amazing creations for you to see!  I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs!  This blog hop will feature creations using the Perennial Essence Suite of Products from the  all-new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

Gift Bags!  I really dislike spending money on expensive gift bags, so I am one to either re-gift or buy a cheap bag and decorate it myself.  Stampin’ Up! makes a really cute Copper Dotted Treat Bag!  They are perfectly sized for a small gift such as jewelry, Stampin’ Up! embellishments, and cookies! YES!  These babies are FOOD SAFE!

Stamp Review Crew - Inspiring You One Stamp at a Time

If this is your first time stopping by my blog, I truly want to thank you for being here!  I am so very honored.  I do my best to provide inspiration as well as step-by-step instructions to my creations so that you can make them too! I hope that the 2019 Artisan Hop helps you to fall in love with the beauty of the Perennial Essence Suite of products!  I sure have!

The Perennial Essence Suite contains the following products:

  • Floral Essence Stamp Set #149450
  • Perennial Flower Punch #149522
  • Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper #149100
  • Perennial Essence 12×12 Vellum Cardstock #149101

  •  Perennial Essence Floral Centers #149442
Come Sail Away Suite by Stampin' Up! _ Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!(1)

The gift bag above was created as follows:

1) Rub a piece of Vellum Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy.  This removes the static from the cardstock and will ensure the Stampin’ Emboss Powder only sticks to the stamped areas.

2) Use the Stamparatus to stamp the flowers in Versamark Ink (qty 6) onto the Vellum Cardstock.  Cover with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Crop with the coordinating Perennial Flower Punch.

3) Use Stampin’ Blends (Premium Alcohol Markers) to color the backside of the cropped flowers.  I used the Light & Dark of the Night of Navy, Petal Pink, & Pineapple Punch.  The alcohol dries quickly on Vellum and lightens quite a bit.  I recommend several layers to obtain a nice depth of color.  Connect two sets of petals together with a Copper Metallic Brad.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  NOTE:  I doubled up the dimensionals on the center flower to make it pop a bit higher than the other two.

4) Rub a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy.  Stamp the sentiments (“for you” – Itty Bitty Greetings) in Versamark Ink.  Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Trim the center sentiment to 1/2 x 2 1/4.  Trim the “for you” to 3/4 x 2.  Flag the end with the Tailored Tag Punch.  Fold and add to the top of the Copper Dotted Treat Bag with a Mini Library Clip.  Adhere the center sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The gift bags I am sharing with you today only use the Floral Essence Bundle from the Perennnial Essence Suite.  You can see the bundle in my online store by clicking the link here:  FLORAL ESSENCE BUNDLE

The gift bag above was created using the following steps:

 1) Rub a piece of Vellum Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy.  This removes the static from the cardstock and will ensure the Stampin’ Emboss Powder only sticks to the stamped areas.

2) Use the Stamparatus to stamp the flowers (qty 3) and leaves (qty 6) in Versamark Ink onto the Vellum Cardstock.  Cover with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Crop the leaves with the coordinating Leaf Punch.  Snip the flowers with Paper Snips.

3) Use Stampin’ Blends (Premium Alcohol Markers) to color the backside of the cropped flowers.  I used the Light & Dark of the Blackberry Bliss,  Rococo Rose, & Pretty Peacock.  The alcohol dries quickly on Vellum and lightens quite a bit.  I recommend several layers to obtain a nice depth of color.  Add Copper “button” Metallic Brads to the center of the flowers.

Trim the center sentiment to 3/4  x 2 3/8.

A little background on Stampin’ Up!’s Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper:

What’s the next best thing to having one of Claude Monet’s paintings hanging in your home? Stampin’ Up!’s Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper! One of Stampin’ Up!’s product designers, Julie Alusa, went to New York and was so inspired by Monet’s works of art, she decided to paint her own masterpiece. In her own words: “While I was admiring Monet’s massive water lily paintings at the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan, I was inspired to do a Monet-esque page in the Designer Series Paper of impressionistic water lilies.” So now you can have a little taste of Monet with this beautiful Designer Series Paper. Hand-painted and gorgeous, this paper will go great with any project—even if it’s just for yourself!

The card below was created using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.  Isn’t is gorgeous?  It definitely takes the creation up a notch and the work is done for you!  Don’t have it in your DSP stash?  What are you waiting for?

#tgifc178 Spooky Sweets Mini Pizza Box

Spooky Sweets Bundle by Stampin' Up! Halloween Mini Pizza Box Gift Packaging by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #tgifc178 #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Happy Friday! TGIFC178

It’s Friday and time for a Theme!  This month’s theme is Holiday Prep. Since the next holiday coming up is Halloween, and one of my favorites, I decided to create a little Spooky Treat Mini Pizza Box.  Gorgeous Grape is my favorite purple and works perfectly for Halloween.

Spooky Sweets Bundle by Stampin' Up! Halloween Mini Pizza Box Gift Packaging by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! #tgifc178 #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Open a Mini Pizza Box and use a Sponge Brayer to apply Gorgeous Grape Ink.  Use a Heat Tool to set the ink.
  2. Cut a piece of Black 5/8″ Organdy Glittered Ribbon and wrap around the Mini Pizza Box, securing with a bow.
  3. With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut two 1 1/4″ x 6″ strips of Daffodil Delight Cardstock. Zip through the Big Shot in between the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  Fold along the embossed stripes, alternating fold direction. Connect the ends with Tear n’ Tape.  Push together to form a circle and set with a hot glue gun.  Adhere to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Cut a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 1″.  Flag the end with the Banner Triple Punch.  Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Adhere to the rosette with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Crop a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. Sponge on Daffodil Delight Ink until you have desired coverage.  Stamp the background stamp in Gray Granite over the right half the moon (resemble cloud cover).   Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Crop a piece of the Black Foil Sheets with the Spooky Bats Punch.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Add 3 Black Faceted Dots for a final touch.

It has been FOREVER since I created a 3-D Item…I get caught up in cards and forget how fun they are to create.  The Mini Pizza Box is perfect for a quick and easy gift package for any occasion.  Color coordinate it to your liking by adding ink with a Sponge Brayer and setting it with a Heat Tool.

Click on the image below to view or purchase the Spooky Sweets Bundle from my online store.

I love creating rosettes and the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes it that much easier (thanks to a tip from Artisan and friend, Connie Collins). Don’t have the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder?  The Simply Scored Tool works well and doesn’t limit you on the sizes of your rosette.  A hot glue gun is the best adhesive to keep the rosette neat and tidy.

  3. Ink up the Orchid Flowers, Stems, Leaves and Sentiments in Soft Suede Classic Ink and stamp onto Shimmery White Cardstock.

  8. Adhere to the Gift Bag, as shown, with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Merry Little Christmas for Just Add Ink #389

An Acetate Gift Box : Just Add Ink #389

Today I created a quick Acetate Gift Box using product from the Merry Little Christmas Suite (soon to retire) from the 2017 Holiday Catalog!  I based my design on the Inspiration Challenge #389 over at Just Add Ink! I had yet to use both the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (retiring) and Acetate Card Boxes (sticking around). I am #madforplaid so I am sad to see the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper retire, but now that I know how I can achieve my own plaid by using the Brushstrokes Background Stamp, I am good to go!.

I wasn’t excited about the Green Sprigs from the Merry Little Christmas Suite, but I will say that I have fallen head-over-heels for them and have used up my entire stash (I even had to re-purpose to finish this project). Pair them up with the Mini Ornaments and the Jute Twine and you have the perfect combination for a rustic-feel creation. If you follow me, you know I am crazy about rustically themed crafts!

The Merry Little Labels Bundle (Merry Little Labels Stamp Set (retiring) + Everyday Label Punch (sticking around)) makes for quick and easy gift tags that look fabulous on any gift, and the Just For You Stamp makes it expand past Christmas themed projects. It also coordinates with the Labels to Love Stamp Set from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  Here is a look at past projects that used the Merry Little Christmas Suite as well.
Like what you see and want to add the products used in this post to your crafting collection?  Click on the images below to visit my store or the link below to print a pdf.

Thank you for stopping by!  I love to hear from you!  Comment Here!

Have a Hoot-a-Riffic Day!
