Welcome to my first hop as part of the Be Inspired Design Team!
I was so honored to be asked to join this amazing group of talented demonstrators from all over the world. When I found out the first hop theme was “watercolor” I about jumped out of my chair! Watercolor is my favorite coloring medium and I have several creations laying around, ready to be photographed and displayed on my blog.
These two cards use images from the amazing Let It Ride Cling Stamp Set, first available in the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Occasions Catalog. I was so happy to find out that this stamp set will be carrying over to the All New 2019-2020 Annual Catalog that begins on June 4, 2019. Growing up with horses and family that are horse enthusiast, it tugged at my heart strings and I had to make sure it became a part of my collection.
If this is your first time stopping by my blog, I truly want to thank you for being here! I am so very honored. I do my best to provide inspiration as well as step-by-step instructions to my creations so that you can make them too! You can view my PDF Tutorial Library Here. I decided that I wanted to keep these cards neutral in color, so I stuck with Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Wood Texture Designer Series Paper as my color palette. I love how they turned out and here is a step-by-step overview on how I created them so you can CASE them if you like.
Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
Layer and adhere with Snail Adhesive, a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock. Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a die-cutting machine to crop a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the trellis die from the Rose Trellis Dies (No Longer Available, sorry).
Take the wood circle from the Frame Elements and snip it in half. Adhere to both sides of the trellis die-cut with Mini Glue Dots as shown. Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut three 4″ pieces of the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. Gently pull apart at the ends, creating a frayed look. Adhere with Mini Glue Dots or small bits of Snail Adhesive.
Zip a 3 3/4″ square of the white Wood Textures 6×6 Designer Series Paper through a die-cutting machine tucked inside the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder. Run through the die-cutting machine again, but this time crop out the center of the square with the 2 5/8″ Stitched Shapes Square Die. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. NOTE: Save the outer framed piece for the next card.
Stamp the horse image in Jet Black Stāzon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color using an Aqua Painter, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake Classic Ink. Snip with Paper Snips and adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Snip with Paper Snips and adhere with snipped-to-size Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere a wooden heart (Frames Elements) to the DSP with a Fine-tip Glue Pen.

Next up is this square 5 x 5 framed art style card. I stuck with the same neutral colors and rustic looking theme. It truly is a simple card to recreate, it just takes a bit of work with Paper Snips, which just happens to be a therapy for me!
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 5″ x 5″. Tuck inside the Subtle 3-D Embossing Folder that has been lightly inked on one side with Soft Suede Classic Ink. Zip it through a die-cutting machine. Adhere the frame (created from the previous card) to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrap with several lopes of Linen Thread, securing with a bow. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thread a piece of Linen Thread through a True Gentleman Button, securing with a bow. Adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot.
Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. Snip apart and to size with Paper Snips. Adhere as shown with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the trees in Soft Suede Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Blend the ink slightly with an Aqua Painter. Adhere with Mini Glue Dots.
Any other horse lovers out there? I highly recommend the Let It Ride Stamp Set. Also, be sure to snag those retiring items (Frames Elements & Wood Textures 6×6 Designer Series Paper) before they are gone for good! They are available until June 3rd, 2019 or While Supplies Last.

These cards are absolutely stunning Stesha! You really make me want this set now! I think my favourite tip you shared today was how you saved the frame for the 2nd card. That DSP looks fabulous with that embossing folder. OMG! I could go on forever! lol I am so thrilled you could hop right in with us this month! OXO
Your cards are so pretty ;O)
Love it Stesha
You create wonderful cards! great idea with the horses!
EXTRA
Stesha – I love what you have done with these horses. I have four good friends who are horse people. When I first saw this set I thought how much fun it would be to make them each a framed piece, but then doubted my ability to make something nice enough. Now that I see your take on this, I’m gonna give it a try. I just needed inspiration from a fellow demonstrator.
Stesha, you’ve taken this beautiful stamp set and raised it to a whole new level by combining and overlapping the images. Both cards absolutely stole my heart and made me want to get more creative with this set. Thanks for always inspiring.
