Welcome to the Pals’ April Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we love to put our ”Families First”! Our Design Team created beautiful projects to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

This past weekend I got to spend an amazing 4 days at a craft retreat in Siren, WI. My goal while there was to ink up as many unused stamp sets as possible…I was able to knock 5 of those off my list…but, I created so many cards with just this set, I am excited to share them with you over the coming weeks. Today’s card is the first of many and I felt fit this families first theme perfectly.

Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
Adhere a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a die-cutting machine to crop a piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper with the largest scallop heart & stitched heart dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies Set. Adhere together and to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Crop another scalloped heart of Vellum Cardstock. Adhere over the top of the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper with Mini Glue Dots.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the ribbon image (Artfully Aware) in Jet Black Stāzon Ink onto Vellum Cardstock. Crop with the coordinating die (Support Ribbon Framelits), as well as, crop a piece of the same Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. Adhere together with a Mini Glue Dot and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the family image (Artfully Aware) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Color with the following Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Black, Light and Dark Mango Melody, Light and Dark Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Call Me Clover, Light and Dark Smoky Slate, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Bronze. Snip closely with a Paper Snips. Adhere with Mini Glue Dots.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment (Artfully Aware) in Jet Black Stāzon Ink onto Vellum Cardstock. Trim to 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Adhere with a single Mini Glue Dot.
Add three Call Me Clover Enamel Dots (Happiness Blooms) as shown for a fun pop of color.

My sister works in Cancer Research and I wanted to make a few cards for her to have on had to use when needed. I tried to match ribbon colors as much as possible and keep the sentiment positive. I love how these turned out and I have about a dozen more to share with you..so stay tuned!

I use the nib end of the Stampin’ Blends almost every time I use them…it makes it so much easier to control. I tend to go outside the lines with the brush ends and feel the nibs do the job I am looking for. What do you love about our Stampin’ Blends? I love the ease of use and that the colors coordinate. It took a bit of practice to get it down, but now I love using them…I use Whisper White Thick Cardstock or Crumb Cake as my canvas…both accept the Stampin’ Blends well.

Adhere Vellum Cardstock with Mini Glue Dots. Although you can see it slightly when viewing close-up, it is almost invisible at the normal viewing distance. Make sure you try and hide them below items as needed, such as letters, layers, etc.
Add Enamel Shapes of any coordinating color for the perfect finishing touch. At first I wasn’t going to add them, but then I just had to…I am addicted.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.
