The Gold Metallic Pearls add such a pop to the flower centers, don’t you think?  How can such a little thing present such an added touch?  Do you have the Metallic Pearls in your embellishment stash?  Mine have been getting quite the workout.  I will need to replenish them soon!

Use a paper trimmer to cut piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11.  Score and fold at 5 1/2.

Adhere a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to the card base with Snail Adhesive.

Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5.  Apply a watercolor wash with an Aqua Painter and Calypso Coral Ink.  Use the Aqua Painter to apply water splatter to the dried watercolor wash, soaking it up with a Paper Towel after 30 seconds.

Zip a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock through a die-cutting machine, tucked inside the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.  Crop with the largest Stitched Nested Label Die. Score the top portion right at the edges where the point meets.  Adhere the flap to the backside of the watercolor wash piece with Snail Adhesive.  Adhere to the front side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the following images in Jet Black Stazōn Ink onto the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper:

    • Large Bird
    • Birds On Branch
    • Two Larger Flowers
    • Two Small Flowers
    • Two Flower Buds
    • Three Leaf Stems

Color the images with an Aqua Painter and the following Classic Ink Colors:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, and Calypso Coral. Snip all images with a Paper Snips. Adhere as shown with Snail Adhesive, Mini and Regular Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add Gold Metallic Pearls to flower centers and the Nested Label as shown.

Rub a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy.  Stamp the two sentiments (Genuine Gems & Itty Bitty Greetings; Note, I masked the “sent” on the sent with love stamp so that only “with love” stamped.  Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Snip the “so sorry” to size with Paper Snips. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut the “with love” to 3/4 x 2 (leaving the sentiment near the top).  Flag the end with the Tailored Tag Punch.  Adhere with Snail Adhesive.

I previously created a journal and pillow box gift using the Free As A Bird Suite as part of my 2019 Artisan Design Team Corporate Blog Post.  I shared these creations (below) on a blog post here.  When I created those, I colored several of the images from the Free As A Bird set.  I used those to quickly create the card I am sharing with you today.  I decided to use white as my canvas instead of the crumb cake I used previously.

When I created the flagged sentiment for the top of the card (with love), I masked the “sent” using washi tape, so that when I stamped the sentiment it only displayed “with love”.  You have so many more sentiment options when you are able to mask a part of the stamp.

Such a pretty card! The leaf embossed die is the perfect setting for those birds. The background color change does make them look different and both looks are beautiful!
