TGIF! It’s Time for a  Technique Challenge!  

Today, the TGIF Challenges Design Team is showcasing projects with decorated envelopes.  My favorite type of envelope to decorate?  SLIMLINE!

Hoot-a-Riffic Free Tutorial Curve

Use a Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock to 8 X 9 1/2.  Score and fold at 4 for a 4 x 9 1/2 slimline card base.

Add Balmy Blue Classic Ink to 3/4 of the card (starting at the top) with a Blending Brush.

Use a Clear Block I along with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the curve of the snow hill onto a 3 x 9 1/2 piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. 

Use a Paper Snips to closely cut the curve.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Add a drop of Versamark Ink Refill to a Clear Acrylic Block.  Add a little water to thin it out.  Grab with a Water Painter and splatter onto the card. Cover with White Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Set with a Heat Tool. 

Snip the images from the Penguin Playmates 12×12 Designer Series Paper with Paper Snips.  Create a scene by adhering the snipped images with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.

 Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Set with a Heat Tool. Cut to size with Paper Snips or a Paper Trimmer.

SLIMLINE CARD ENVELOPE #10 Stesha

Cut a piece of Penguin Playmates 12×12 Designer Series Paper to 11 x 9 1/8. 

Score at 1 and 9 3/4 on the 11″ side. Score at 2 and 6 1/8 on the 9 1/8 side. Cut away the four corners with Paper Snips by following the score lines.

Adhere together with Stampin’ Seal, leaving the 1 1/4 flap open to slide the card in.

Adhere a 7 1/ 2 x 3 1/4 piece of Basic White Cardstock to the front of the envelope with Stampin’ Seal as shown.

Snip the images from the Penguin Playmates 12×12 Designer Series Paper with Paper Snips.  Adhere with Stampin’ Seal.
