How cute are these bots from the Nuts and Bolts Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!? In our house, with Christmas also comes birthdays. My oldest son, Preston, just became a teenager on January 5. I cannot believe he is 13 already. My youngest just hit double digits! He turned 10 on December 28. So I decided to create each a card in their favorite color.
The adorable imagery and sentiments of this Nuts & Bolts Stamp Set will make anyone feel loved and appreciated. The playful artwork and cheerful sentiments will add a perfect touch to your handmade cards and crafts. And while it may be a great stamp set for Valentine’s Day, you can also use it to show loved ones how much they mean to you all year long! This set also offers some great versatility: The robot images can be combined on a card or used individually on a tag, while the open line-art images allow you to customize the look with different coloring techniques.
Cut a piece of Garden Green or Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Adhere a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Black Cardstock (with distressed edges) to the card with Stampin Dimensionals.
Stamp the “rays” (After the Storm Cling Stamp Set) three times at the top of a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock in Garden Green or Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink. Use a Water Painter and the coordinating ink color to darken the rays.
Stamp the robots in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Use a Water Painter and the coordinating ink color to darken the rays. Cut out with Paper Snips.
Stamp each robot again in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color the large heart (Pumpkin Pie Bot) with a Water Painter and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink. Snip with Paper Snips. Color the right arm with a Water Painter and Garden Green Classic Ink. Snip out with Paper Snips. Pop up both pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the heart duo in Jet Black Stazon onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color with a Water Painter and Cherry Cobbler Ink. Snip with Paper Snips. Adhere to the bot hands with Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp the HB2U in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the large Beautiful Shapes Die circle.
Cut about 1/4 off the top of the circle. Score 1/8 down, fold over. Use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to fill in the score lines of the die (optional). Adhere the top of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the bottom with Mini Glue Dots.
Adhere Shimmery White Cardstock to a Foam Adhesive Sheet. Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Playful Alphabet Number Dies. Before removing them from the foam, trace the outside edge with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Adhere to the card as shown.
Embellish with Black Classic Matte Dots.
Stamp the Greetings, Kind Human sentiment in Jet Black Stazon onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Snip apart and to size with Paper Snips. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
