I was so happy to have another chance to create with the adorable Nuts & Bolts Stamp Set. I haven’t tried the alcohol ink background technique and I thought it would make a pretty valentine background, so I gave it a shot…and I love the result.
The adorable imagery and sentiments of this Nuts & Bolts Stamp Set will make anyone feel loved and appreciated. The playful artwork and cheerful sentiments will add a perfect touch to your handmade cards and crafts. And while it may be a great stamp set for Valentine’s Day, you can also use it to show loved ones how much they mean to you all year long! This set also offers some great versatility: The robot images can be combined on a card or used individually on a tag, while the open line-art images allow you to customize the look with different coloring techniques. Begin by cutting a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Adhere a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of the All Together Designer Series Paper to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Cut a piece of Vellum Cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4. Color small areas of the Vellum with Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends. Use a paint brush to add 91% or higher alcohol drops. Use a Marker Spritzer or similar to move the alcohol and colors around until you are satisfied with the results. Once dry, adhere to a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to crop a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the Stitched So Sweetly Die. Use a Paper Trimmer to remove approve two inches from the left side. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals strategically placed so they will be hidden below the bot.
Stamp the robot and hearts onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Color with the following Stampin’ Blends: Basic Black Light, Smoky Slate Combo, Melon Mambo Combo, and Flirty Flamingo Combo. Snip all images with Paper Snips. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Basics Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool. Snip apart with Paper Snips. Adhere with snipped-to-size Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment and Black Classic Matte Dots.
