Welcome to the 2nd Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of the 2nd Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pull it off but an idea came to me late in the night and I acted on it.  A lot of the time my ideas pop in my head as I am laying down trying to fall asleep, that is how this one came about.  I am sure I had scanned over ideas in Pinterest and my mind took it and put my own spin on it.

The card was fairly easy to create.  I used the Watercolor Splash Background Technique.  You can download my Step-by-Step Tutorial for detailed instructions on how to create the background.   Click Here: Step-by-Step Tutorial  I love bright pinks and wanted to use Melon Mambo for my Ultimate Pink Blog Hop Creation.

Once you create the background, you will want to stamp and crop the Ribbon from the Ribbon of Courage Bundle.  I stamped the image in Versamark Ink of Shimmery White Cardstock, the heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I took an Aqua Painter and added the Melon Mambo to the ribbon image.  I layed it down on the background and then took my Large Letters Framelits Dies to spell out HOPE.  Place them where you want them then Zip it through the Big Shot to crop them out.

After you crop out the letters, (make sure you save all the pieces) glue the watercolor background to the Melon Mambo cardstock mat. Note: You want a darker color behind the letters for the best effect.  Add Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the letters and adhere them over the negative space from cropping them out.

I added three Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the background.  Then I stamped the “courage” sentiment with Versamark on Basic Black Cardstock and then heat embossed it with Stampin’ White Embossing Powder.  I snipped around the letters with my Paper Snips and adhered it over the E with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
