Welcome to Day Three of the Stampin’ Up! OnStage November 2017 Display Stamper Blog Hop!
I hope you have enjoyed Day One & Two of the Blog Hop. I am excited about Day Three as I am bringing you that cute little unicorn from the Magical Day Stamp Set, part of the Myths & Magic Suite of Product. When I started to create my samples for the display board, I had just received my wonderful Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. I went a little gung-ho with them, so almost every image I used on my board is colored with these awesome markers!
I envisioned this cute little unicorn being displayed like a bow on top of a gift. So I grabbed my Window Box Thinlits Dies (Part of the Online Extravaganza Sale) and paired it with the Unicorn Sheet from Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack.
I love rosette’s; one of my favorite decor items to create. I wanted to make this for a girl, and the Melon Mambo sheet of DSP happened to be the perfect color to use for the rosette. I matched it by using Melon Mambo Classic Ink for the sentiment, which I fussy cut with my Paper Snips. I then added adhesive by tracing the letting with my Fine-Tip Glue Pen so that I could adhere Dazzling Diamonds to make it shine. Next time, I think I may just go with my Wink of Stella Brush for the glimmer as the diamonds clumped on me a bit.
I used the die from the Window Box Framelits to create the pop-up banner for my sentiment and then adhered it to the rosette with two layers of Stampin’ Dimensionals. The fabulous Enamel Glitter Dots added the final touch.
The all-new pack of 6×6 Glimmer Paper that is part of the Myths & Magic Suite is the perfect addition to a card with a unicorn. I used the dies from the Up & Away Thinlits (currently 10% off during Online Extravaganza) to create my glimmery clouds surrounding the unicorn.
I used the Stitched Shaped Circle Framelit, along with my Big Shot, to crop out the circle. Then I used the Smooching Technique to add the splashes of Pink Pirouette and Pool Party Ink. Again, the Enamel Glitter Dots served as the final touch to my unicorn card.
I still have mermaids and dragons to bring you in the next few days! This set is full of so many great images and I am excited that they are part of a bundle with coordinating dies that make it easy to quickly crop them out. (I fussy cut all of mine as I didn’t receive the dies in my Display Stamper kit).
My last share of the day still shows off that unicorn, but I am also including that cute little knight and fun little wizard to go along with it. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set that I shared with you in yesterday’s post. It just happened to fit perfectly in the open spot that remained after I finished designing my card.
The DSP is also included in the Myth & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack, those cute little trees are just perfect to help portray that mythical and magical feel. It pairs well with Crumb Cake Card Stock, one of my go-to colors for cards.
