TGIFC136
Welcome, Welcome! It’s my first post as part of the TGIF Challenges Design Team! I am so honored and excited to be a part of this extremely talented team of paper crafters! My first challenge is one that I love…color combinations! When I saw the colors that were part of the #tgifc136, it instantly made me think of wine and Christmas!
My card base is Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. I added a 2nd Layer of Cherry Cobber Cardstock but left the matted edge thin (1/8″) so it was barely peeking out from behind my 3rd Layer. My top layer uses Very Vanilla Cardstock, which I repeatedly stamped the row of wine glasses in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Heat Tool.
I picked two wine glasses out of the bunch and colored each image (in all rows) with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends (Light and Dark). I stamped two of the large wine glass images, one wine bottle, and the Merry Christmas Sentiment on Very Vanilla Cardstock with Veramark Ink and then used my Heat Tool to set the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then fussy cut each image with my Paper Snips.
I wanted my accents to bring the Gold to life. Stampin’ Up! offers a wide array of Gold Embellishments, so I didn’t have a problem finding what I needed in my stash. I used the Gold Metallic Foil Doilies as my canvas to build my focal point. The Gold Mini Sequin Trim and Gold 1/8″ Ribbon were perfect for draping around the neck of the wine bottle. The Gold 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon and 1/8″ Ribbon were paired up to create a beautiful ribbon edge near the bottom of the card.
I hope you enjoyed my first post as a TGIF Challenges Design Team Member! Please be sure to check out the other Designer’s creations and play along with us by clicking the image below! #tgifc136
