TGIF! It’s Time for a Sketch Challenge!
Welcome to another TGIF Challenge. It’s been awhile since I have participated. I had a bit of creative time so I decided to join in on the sketch challenge this week.
I don’t often use Blackberry Bliss for a card base color, but it paired well with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Adding a touch of Vellum Cardstock softened the look a bit more and I think the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set complimented the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.
Cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of Vellum Cardstock to 5 1/4 x 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper to 5 1/8 x 4.
Use a die-cutting machine and the scalloped edge die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies to crop the edges of both the Vellum Cardstock and Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Adhere together with Snail Adhesive and to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the trio of flowers in Blackberry Bliss Ink onto Vellum Cardstock. Stamp the leaves (three of each) in Granny Apple Green Ink onto Vellum Cardstock. Cover with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Snip with Paper Snips.
Use a die-cutting machine to crop the leaves using the leaf die from the Detailed Bands Dies. Snip in half with a Paper Snips.
Layer and adhere all images together and to the card with Mini Glue Dots.
Rub a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy. Stamp the sentiment (Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Use the scalloped edge die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies to crop the sentiment to size. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere Pretty Peacock Woven Thread Sequins as shown.

A little tip for stamping on Vellum Cardstock: I love the look of stamping on vellum, but ink takes a while to dry and sometimes just doesn’t set. How to I fix this? I stamp on Vellum Cardstock with any color of Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink, cover the stamped image with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with a Heat Tool! Voila, you now have a colored image that cannot smear and has a little added touch of texture.
