TGIF! It’s Time for a Technique Challenge!
Welcome to another TGIF Challenge, this week it’s time for a technique! Splatter! My son has a birthday party today and I thought the Smooching Technique would be a perfect “SPLATTER” background for an 8 year-old that LOVES sports. I paired it with the For the Win Stamp Set and alas, a perfect sports card for a sports lovin’ kiddo. I even made it the school colors of Blue and Gold.
Cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Adhere a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4. Smooch with Night of Navy and Crushed Curry Classic Ink. You can see my tutorial on the smooching technique here. Adhere to the card with Snail Adhesive.
Use a die-cutting and embossing machine and the largest Stitched Shapes Circle Die to crop a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment, baseball, and football in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Set the ink with a Heat Tool. Color with Light and Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. Crop the baseball with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and snip the rest with Paper Snips. Adhere with Regular and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add six Blueberry Bushel Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots as shown.
Stamp a baseball onto a Medium Whisper White Envelope for perfect coordination.
