This month’s theme is…..Feeling Festive! …and what is more festive than Jolly Ole Saint Nick? I absolutely love the Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle and I wish it was given the love I feel it deserves.  I shared a previous creation that I colored with blends.  Today’s card is colored with Classic Inks and an Aqua Painter!

Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. 

Cut a piece of Real Red 6×6 Designer Series Paper  to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Adhere with Snail Adhesive. 

Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4.   Adhere to the card as shown with Snail Adhesive. 

Zip a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock through a die-cutting and embossing machine tucked inside the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Crop a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with the 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 Stitched Nested Label Die.  Crop with a Paper Trimmer at 3 1/8.  Adhere the larger piece as shown with Snail Adhesive.   Adhere the smaller piece as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Use a Stamparatus to stamp the Santa in Jet Black Stazōn Ink.  Crop with the coordinating Jolly Season die.  Color with an Aqua Painter and the following Classic Inks:  Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, Mango Melody, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand.  Color with the following Stampin’ Write Markers: Basic Black (blend with an Aqua Painter after coloring), Shaded Spruce, & Cherry Cobbler (presents & candy cane). Color his face with the Ivory Stampin’ Blend.  Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

Use a die-cutting and embossing machine to crop the “Jolly” (Jolly Seasons Die) in Basic Black Cardstock.  Use a Paper Snips to cut off the “to be”.  Adhere to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 

Stamp the sentiment (Merry Christmas To All Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock that has been rubbed with an embossing buddy.  Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Flick to remove the excess, then set with a Heat Tool.  Snip to size with Paper Snips.  Adhere as shown with Snail Adhesive. 

Tie a bow of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine.  Adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot that has been rolled between your fingers. 

Add a Red Rhinestone Jewel to the center of the bow.

Since we do not have a Classic Ink in Basic Black, I like to color my images with the brush tip of a Stampin’ Write Marker, then blend the black together with an Aqua Painter.  It works like a charm! 

A touch of Baker’s Twine or Linen Thread always steps-up a card with very little cost.  If you look back on my creations, I think almost every one of them has twine, thread, or ribbon!
