It’s Monday and time for another Global Design Project Challenge!
#GDP310 is a Sketch Challenge and I had fun with it. My card takes on a vintage feel by combining Soft Suede with Gold Embossing. The watercolor wash was created on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Soft Suede, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent Classic Inks.

Begin with a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic White Cardstock. Score and fold at 4 1/2. NOTE: The front of the card base will be slightly smaller than the card layers that are attached to it.
Adhere a 6 1/4 x 4 3/8 piece of Soft Suede Cardstock to the card base.
Use a Waterpainter to apply a watercolor wash of the following colors to a 6 1/4 x 4 1/8 piece of Fluid 100 Cardstok: Soft Suede, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen.
Once the watercolor wash is dry, splatter with water. Leave for 30 seconds, then dab dry with a paper towel.
Use the brush end of a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker to splatter again.
Adhere to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Stamp the dahlias in Soft Suede Classic Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. Let dry completely. Stamp the outline in Versamark Ink, (use the Stamparatus to help with placement) cover with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a 3 x 1/2 piece of Basic White Cardstock. cover with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.
Adhere with Mutlipurpose Liquid Glue.
Snip the dahlias with Paper Snips and with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.
I wasn’t entirely sure how a DistINKtive Stamp Set would heat emboss, but this one turned out wonderfully. It really helped with the rustic feel of the card, but gave it an amazing “touch” of texture. All images, including the sentiment and the envelope, were stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed in Gold Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
