Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My “fun fold” for today Pals Blog Hop is actually a three layer card. It has the top layer with the curved edge, the center layer, and the bottom layer (which holds a gift card or cash). You may notice the photo of the card below is a little different, it has a strip of DSP that I use to cover a boo-boo, but then decided I didn’t like it…unfortunately I didn’t snag another photo showing all three layers. So you get both versions.

Card Bases:
Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 card base of Sahara Sand Cardstock. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Cut the 2nd piece of Sahara Sand to 4 1/4 x 6. Score and fold at 5 1/2. (You’ll have a 1/2 flap on top).
Top Layer:
Cut a piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock and a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Zip through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine along with the curved Basic Borders Dies.
NOTE: I put it through three times, cutting a little more off the edge each time until I got the curve that I wanted.
Use a Paper Snips edge or Bone Folder edge to distress the edges . Adhere to the small 1/2 flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (this creates the three layers).
Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock to 3 3/4 x 1 3/4. Zip through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the die from Layering Hugs. Adhere to a 3 3/4 x 1 3/4 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Distress all edges with a Paper Snips or Bone Folder. Triple wrap with Linen Thread, securing at the top with a bow. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Crop the three filigree pieces (Sahara Sand, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen Cardstock) with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Christmas Trimmings Dies. Adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot.
Stamp the “Christmas Wishes” sentiment (Banner Year Stamp Set) and “& Kisses” sentiment (Sending Hugs Stamp Set) in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink onto Sahara Sand Cardstock. Trim closely with Paper Snips. Adhere with snipped-to-size Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Matte Decorative Dots.
2nd Layer:
Adhere a 4 1/4 x 1 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to a 4 1/4 x 1 1/2 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper together and to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Delicate Bauble Dies to crop Sahara Sand (bottom) and Cherry Cobbler (detail and ribbon). Adhere together and to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
3rd Layer:
Cut a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper 2 3/4 x 31/2. Score one of each side at 1/2″. Remove the small square from the corner (made by the score lines) with Paper Snips. Cut an angle on the opposite side of the score lines. (I marked each side at 1″ and cut the angle with my Paper Trimmer).
Adhere a 1/2 x 5 3/4 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to a 5/8 x 5 1/2 piece of Sahara Sand together and to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Stamp the sentiment (Banner Year) in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink as shown.
Finish:
Line up the 5 1/2 sides with the full card on top and adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
