It’s Saturday and I feel like I can finally take a breath and blog a card that I created at my craft retreat from the beginning of October. A few of my friends were headed to a wedding immediately after the retreat so I created a couple of cards for them…stating that it was not ok for them to purchase some when I had everything I needed to make them.
Begin with a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. Score and fold at 4 1/4.
Adhere a 1 x 5 1/2 and 3/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use the Artistic Dies and a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to crop the frond in Very Vanilla Cardstock. Adhere as shown with Mini Glue Dots.
Use the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to crop a piece of Basic Gray and Very Vanilla Cardstock. Use the tiny dies from the Delicate Baubles Dies to crop the ribbon slots from the Basic Gray die-cut.
Thread a piece of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine Essentials throw the ribbon slots and a button (retired) as shown, securing with a bow.
Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray Classic Ink onto the Very Vanilla die-cut. Adhere together and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Subtle Shimmer Sequins by gluing to the card with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I would have never thought of using these colors for a wedding card but this is stunning! Thanks for sharing and helping me think outside the box!! M Noble
