Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Home for the Holidays”. We really hope that you enjoy and are inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I love poinsettias and their abundance during the holiday season. I love coloring poinsettia images even more. A Water Painter paired with Classic Ink helped bring my poinsettia’s to life. Since they are a somewhat large image, I decided on a slimline card as my canvas and filled it with three beautiful clusters of poinsettia leaves.

Begin with an 8″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock. Score and fold at 4″.
Cut two pieces of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to the following sizes: 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 and 3 3/4 x 6. Adhere together with Tear & Tape.
Cover the edges of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with tape (I use Holbein Soft Tape) and use the largest Water Painter to apply a Soft Suede watercolor wash. Allow to dry and remove the tape. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (making sure the seam is on the top end of the card base).
Use a Mini or Standard Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to crop three sprigs (Poinsettia Dies) of Basic Black Cardstock.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the images (large & small leaves x 3, all 3 poinsettia petals x 3) in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Color with a Water Painter and Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, and Crushed Curry Classic Inks.
Once dry, crop with the coordinating Poinsettia Dies and a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Adhere all pieces together and to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Basics Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess. Set with a Heat Tool. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Pearl Basic Jewels and Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

What is your favorite color of poinsettia? Traditional red? Pink, white, yellow, purple, salmon, multi-colors? I’m personally a sucker for anything salmon!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on December 8th. Our theme will be “My Favorite Things” with our design team showcasing some of their favorite products from any catalog they choose.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
