This Sunday, my grandma turns 90 years old! She was a big part of my life growing up and I cannot wait to celebrate with her. She has dementia, so she may not remember everyone gathering to honor her 90 years on earth, but she will smile and giggle like she usually does, which will make it well worth it.
This card was inspired by the extremely talented Martin Stone – I fell in love with his card and had to give it a try for myself. You can see his version here.
Begin by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 for your card base.
Cut a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to 5 x 5.
Stamp the floral images in Petal Pink or a similar light ink.
Use a Water Painter to add the following colors to the floral images:
Use the brush end of a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Maker or Stampin Blends to splatter ink onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper as shown.
Separate a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine into two strands. Double wrap around the layer and adhere to the back side with Stampin’ Seal.
Separate more Baker’s Twine into two strands. Tie four strands into a bow. Trim off tow tails. Adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy.
Cover with white Embossing Powder, set with a Heat Tool. Trim to size with Paper Snips. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Your card is beautiful! How touching, too! I know your Grandmother will love this so much and will mean a lot to her! It is nothing better than “family”!
This card is beautiful and your water coloring is awesome. Your grandmother is a role model for aging. I know her 90th birthday party will be a big event for your family. Great fun!
