Coloring Magic: Bring Tulips to Life with Stampin’ Blends
- Leaves: Old Olive Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends as my base, then added depth and dimension with Mossy Meadow Light & Dark Stampin’ Blends. Polished off the shadows with a Basic Black Watercolor Pencil.
- Tulip Petals: Calypso Coral Light Stampin’ Blend as my base. I added depth and dimension with Berry Burst Light & Dark Stampin’ Blends. Polished off the shadows with a Basic Black Watercolor Pencil.
- Small Flowers: Lemon Lolly Dark Stampin’ Blend as my base. I added dimension to the center of the flower with a Daffodil Delight Light Stampin’ Blend.
card tutorial: color this handmade birthday card
- Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. Score and fold at 5 1/2 (portrait style card).
- Use a Paper Trimmer to cut the following Basic White Layers: 3 3/4 x 5 and 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.
- Adhere the two pieces together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, making sure to capture the edges.
- Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 Everyday Arches Die.
- Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals that have been snipped from the edge of the pack.
- Stamp the Mixed Florals tulip image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Crop with the coordinating Mixed Florals die.
- Color the image with the following Stampin’ Blends: Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral, Berry Burst, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight. Add shading with a Basic Black Watercolor Pencil.
- Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Choose a sentiment from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown.
- Embellish with Brushed Brass Butterflies!
