This card was such a fun, artsy make for the Be Inspired Blog Hop and our Color Pairings theme. I began by softly blending Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, and Pretty Peacock onto Basic White Cardstock, letting the colors overlap and mingle like a loose watercolor wash.
After the blending was complete, I tucked the panel into the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard), revealing all that gorgeous sunflower texture. A splatter of Permanent White gouache and a scattering of Black & White Classic Matte Dots add movement, contrast, and just a hint of playful imperfection.

- Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Basic White Cardstock. Score and fold at 5 1/2 (portrait style card).
- Use Blending Brushes to apply Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake and Pretty Peacock Ink onto a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White Cardstock.
- Zip through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) tucked inside the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.
- Distress the edges with a distressing tool. Fold in the corners and staple two as shown.
- Splatter with Winsor & Newton Permanent White Gouache.
- Adhere to a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment (Delicate Whispers) in Versamark Ink onto a 3 1/4 x 3/8 piece of Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock. Cover with White Basics WOW Embossing Powder, set with a Heat Tool. Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Embellish with Black and White Classic Matte Dots (retired).
