A Note of Thanks from Garden Girl
As you can tell from my previous posts, I LOVE TO WATERCOLOR! So when I saw the Garden Girl Stamp Set in the New 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, I knew that I had to add it to my collection! If coloring gives you relaxation, then I recommend getting this set. As you can see below, the stamp set is full of images to color and the paper crafting possibilities are endless. There are so many cute creations to be had, I will be sharing some more with you in the future! If you would like to view this set in my online store, just click on the photo below.
Card Details:
- Card Base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock cut to 4.25 in x 11 in and scored / folded at 5.5 in.
- Shimmery White Cardstock was cut to 4 in x 5.25 in and adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- When watercoloring images with Aqua Painters, I always use Basic Black Archival Ink. After allowing it to dry, it will not smudge or smear. I stamped these images onto Shimmery White Cardstock, my favorite canvas for detailed watercolor creations.
- I used the following Classic Ink Colors on the images:
- Hair – Daffodil Delight
- Skin – Powder Pink
- Dress and Bows – Pacific Point
- Boots, Pockets – Melon Mambo
- Carrots – Pumpkin Pie
- Grass and Carrot Top – Garden Green
- Sky – Soft Sky
- Fence and Basket – Soft Suede
- I always start with heavier color on the left of the image and slowly drag color to the right to get the shadowed look.
- I fussy cut the images with a Paper Snips and Xacto Knife for inner areas. Always remember when you are fussy cutting to move the paper and not the scissors for the best cut.
- The A Note of Thanks Sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set, a must have for your craft collection!
