A Remarkable Foil Frenzy Gift Bag
I finally did it! I decided that today was the day I was going to make a 3-D item to share with everyone. I have been wanting to use the FoilFrenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper again so, I did a quick google search for “Gift Bags from 12×12 Paper” and I quickly found a tutorial on how to create one. I didn’t bookmark it and I can’t find it again, so unfortunately, I cannot give credit where credit is due. It has very easy instructions so I will recreate them and share them with you soon!
Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #108 just happens to be Fabulous Florals! So I decided to play along and link up my creation! This is my first time playing along with Stamp Ink Paper and I am excited for a new challenge! Hop on over there and check out the SIP Designer Submissions and others playing along too!
Take a look at some more photos of my Remarkable Foil Frenzy Gift Bag! There are some fun ones at the bottom of this post!
I stamped the flowers and greenery from the Remarkable You Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock in Versamark Ink and then added Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heated it with the amazing 2-Stage Heat Tool to melt it and make an amazing outline of the images. When you heat emboss images, it makes it so much easier to stay “in the lines” when you color with Stampin’ Write Markers. The flowers were colored with the brush end of a Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Marker and for the greenery I used my favorite color, the all new Lemon-Lime Twist. I let the ink dry and then added another layer of color for some depth and dimension.
If you follow me, you know I love to Fussy Cut…so of course, I grabbed the Paper Snips (a must for fussy cutting) and snipped them out. I had three sets flowers and three sets of greenery. The greenery has a shoot coming out the right hand side and that wasn’t working for me. So I cut those three shoots off the main branch and added them to my layout as needed to make it look full. They were all adhered together with Fast Fuse Adhesive and adhered to the bad with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Remarkable You Stamp Set has several large images. They are great for coloring with any medium. Watercolors, Pencils, Markers, etc. You can see another one of my creations with this set here on my Pinterest Board : Cala Lilly Card. I colored the Cala’s with Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter.
I had the flowers and greenery adhered to the bag and needed to add a sentiment somewhere. I couldn’t decide if I wanted it up top on the flap that I added or somewhere else. I decided to first stamp the images with Versamark, Heat Emboss the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then cut to size and flag the end (using the Banner Triple Punch). I was playing around with where it would fit best and it just kinda fell into place in that bottom left corner. The greenery shaped the sentiment, so it was the perfect placement. I added a few Copper Metallic Sequin Assortment with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to finish it off.
I have to share a few photos with you of the other paper crafter in our house. My 5-year old Parker loves to make cards with me and watch me like a hawk. I take my photos on our flooring in front of our patio door (it gives off the best natural light for photos). He dropped to the floor and made sure to pop in on some of them, so I just had to include them in my post.
