The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop, Line-up of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Showcasing Paper Craft Creations, Stampin' Hoot! Stesha Bloodhart #bloghop #stampinup

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for October 2017. This month our theme is Give Thanks!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Stesha @ Stampin’ Hoot! or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

I decided to use the stamp set:  Basket of Wishes for my ‘Give Thanks’ themed card.  I thought it would be fun to try out the new Stampin’ Blends (available for purchase November 1st).   I was intimidated by the small details but soon learned that I didn’t have to be.  As long as I used the brush end with light pressure on the detail, it was easy to get the depth with shading I was going for.

The Stampin’ Blends I used to color the basket and autumn harvest are the following:

  • Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Bronze
  • Light and Dark Old Olive, Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight

You can download the complete list of Stampin’ Blends available November 1st HERE.

Card Details:

  • Card Base is Crumb Cake Cardstock cut to 5 1/2 in x 8 1/2 in and scored/folded at 4 1/4  in.
  • 2nd Layer is a Whisper White Cardstock cut to 4 in x 5 1/4 in and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • 3rd Layer is Wood Textures DSP cut to 3 5/8 in x 5 1/8 in and adhered with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
  • I did the Watercolor Smooching Technique (I call it Watercolor Splash)on a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with Soft Suede and Early Espresso Ink.  Then I cropped it out with my Big Shot and a Stitched Framelits Circle Die.  I adhered it to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Note: Download the Watercolor Splash Tutorial Here:  Watercolor Splash Tutorial
  • I took a piece of 1/4″ Copper Trim, pulled it apart and adhered it to the Stitched Circle with a strip of Fast Fuse.
  • The basket and sentiment were from the Basket of Wishes Stamp Set.  I fussy cut each image with my Paper Snips, trimming the sentiment to say ‘Giving Thanks’.  I adhered both of them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I added Black Rhinestone Jewels as a final touch to the card.
