Beautiful Day Sneak Peek for GDP117 Color Challenge

Welcome to another Global Design Project Color Challenge. GDP117 I love this color combination. I struggled at first, creating a card I wasn’t too happy with, so I tried again, loving my results! Card Details:
Card Base: Crumb Cake Cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 11 inch. Scored/Folded at 5.5 inches for a standard sized card that fits perfectly in our Medium Sized Envelopes.
2nd Layer: Watercolor Paper with a Crumb Cake Watercolor Wash. Adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellishments: Black Rhinestone Jewels (retiring) and Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon
Stamps: Beautiful Day from the 2018 Occasions Catalog
Ink: Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Lemon-Lime Twist Stampin’ Ink Refills, Basic Black Archival Ink Pad
Tools: Aqua Painter (large), Stampin’ Trimmer, Paper Snips, Clear Stamp Blocks E & H, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I stamped the Butterfly in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Watercolor Paper. I used my Heat Tool to dry and set the ink more quickly. I then added a few drops of color from my Stampin’ Ink Refills into my Watercolor Paint Tray Palette, grabbed my Aqua Painter and started adding color. I wanted to make sure to leave some white space in each section of the wings and I really like the effect.
This stamp set, called Beautiful Day, will be available starting January 3, 2018, when the FABULOUS 2018 Occasions & Sale-A-Bration Catalogs go live! It is available in Wood or Clear-Mount (Red Rubber Stamps) and pairs perfectly with a new product called “Brusho Crystal Colour”. I will be sharing details on that new medium as soon as I have it in hand.
