It’s Friday and time for a Color Challenge! I had to participate in this color challenge as it is one of my all-time favorite color combinations. Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, and Basic Black are the perfect trio of colors and I cannot wait to see what everyone else’s creations look like. I will be stocking the submissions this week to see what everyone comes up with.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.
- Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
- Stamp the background stamp from the You’ve Got This Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the floral image in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Add color with an Aqua Painter, Berry Burst, and Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Sip out with a Paper Snips and adhere with Regular and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Fussy cut into individual words and adhere with snipped-to-size Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The You’ve Got This Stamp Set is one of my top picks from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog Retiring Stamp Sets! I love it and am kinda sad to see it go, but I am happy to share one last card with you! Berry Burst and Lemon-Lime Twist are the perfect colors for this flower, don’t you think?
When I watercolor with an Aqua Painter, I first cover the image with a very light coating of the color I am using. Then I go back after allowing to dry and apply shading to the areas that I want to be darker. I haven’t had any formal training with watercolor techniques, I just use what I feel works for me. I hope you like it?

I never considered making the background black. I think I have always seen it in a light color. Your berry burst flower really pops against the black. Will have to try this.
