Pals Blog Hop! Holly Jolly Christmas & Northern Lights

Pals Blog Hop July 2019 Stesha Bloodhart. Stampin' Hoot! #steshabloodhart #stampinhoot

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party  – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle & Snow Globe Scenes Dies from Stampin' Up! Card created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! Pals Blog Hop

Ok, I have to confess, my creation for today’s blog hop is not a fun fold.  Fun folds are not my forte and I decided that I am going to focus on the “retiring” portion of the hop instead.  So….today’s creation uses the following retiring and carryover products:

RETIRING: Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle

CARRYOVER:  Still Scenes Bundle.

The Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle is available until January 2, 2020 or While Supplies Last, whichever comes first!  The Still Scenes Bundle has made

Copper Tea Tins from Stampin' Up! 3X3 Card holder created by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! 2019 Artisan Design Team Member

Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock  to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score and fold at 4 1/4.

Use a Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  Use an Aqua Painter along with Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry Ink to create the night sky background. Note: I first apply water to the Shimmery White Cardstock, then I apply Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry Ink in an upward motion.  Set aside to dry completely.

Use the edge die from the In The Woods Dies along with a die-cutting and embossing machine to crop a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Note: You will have to crop two pieces and piece them together. I covered the crease with a set of trees.  Add a light shadow of Smoky Slate Cardstock with an Aqua Painter.  Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the group of trees (Holly Jolly Christmas) three times in Jet Black Stazon Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Color with an Aqua Painter and Shaded Spruce Ink. Snip with Paper Snips.  Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Crop the church (Snow Globe Scenes Dies) using Shimmery White Cardstock.  Shade with Smoky Slate and add lights with Crushed Curry Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter. Adhere together and to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Crop a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Add shading with an Aqua Painter and Smoky Slate Classic Ink.  Adhere with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Crop a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with the die from Jolly Seasons Dies.  Add glitter with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush.  Adhere as shown with Snail Adhesive (to the moon) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp “Believe” in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy.  Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Snip with Paper Snips and adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What a great holiday card, Stesha! Love the beautiful night sky for Santa to enjoy on his midnight travels! This looks like it could be an illustration in a kid’s holiday story book. What a wonderful idea! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
