Global Design Project #342 – it’s time for a sketch challenge…This sketch inspired me to create a card in DSU colors. My nephew just graduated on Saturday and we gathered for a celebratory dinner. It was so nice to see everyone, lots of smiles, laughs, and catching up.
Begin by cutting a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Adhere a 1/2 strips of Smoky Slate, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, and Tahitian Tide Cardstock to the left side of the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue as shown.
Zip a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine along with the largest circle Stylish Shapes Die. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the letters/numbers, frames, grad hat (retired), and diploma (retired) in Versamark Ink onto Night of Navy, Tahitian Tide, and Pacific Point Cardstock. Cover with white Basics Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool. Snip the hat and diploma with Paper Snips. Crop the letters and numbers with the coordinating Best Label Punch. Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with White Classic Matte Dots.
