Fabulous Flamingo for GDP Sketch Challenge 090
When I saw this sketch challenge over at Global Design Project, I immediately thought of the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set and how I could use it to compliment this design! #GDP090
I am pretty happy with the results because I was able to incorporate a lot of new product into the card. Although you can’t see a lot of it, the Shimmer Ribbon in Pear Pizzazz is DIVINE! The entire Shimmer Ribbon line may be my favorite, but it’s hard to say because I haven’t even used 1/16 of my newly arrived ribbon supply!
The color combination is very similar to last weeks GDP Color Challenge. This time I coordinated with the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper (my top pick for DSP in the New Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog). I picked Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Pear Pizzazz as my ink colors on my stamped and watercolor images. The Flamingo (3-Step Stamping) and the sentiment are both from the new Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set.
I ran the largest Stitched Shapes Oval Framelit through the Big Shot to cut the oval. Ran it through the Big Shot again in between the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add texture. Then I added watercolor to the “debossed” areas with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter on Shimmery White Cardstock. The “Tickled Pink for Sentiment” was also stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink and then the end was flagged using the Paper Snips to get it just the right length for the area.
