Stampin’ Up! New Floral Statement Stamp Set is a Favorite!
I was so excited for my order from the New Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog to arrive! I knew one of the first sets that I was going to grab and make a card with was the Floral Statements Stamp Set. I saw the pack of 6×6 Petal Garden Designer Series Paper and a card design was born! The paper gave me the color combination inspiration I was looking for! Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum compliment each other well and I love using the green of the Pear Pizzazz on floral stems.

Card Details:
- The card base is Rich Razzleberry Cardstock cut to 5.5 in x 11 in and scored / folded at 5.5 in to make a square card.
- A piece of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock was cut to 5.25 in x 5.25 in and adhered to the card base with Foam Adhesive Strips to give it a bump up.
- A piece of Sweet Sugarplum DSP was picked from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack (shown below), cut to 5 in x 5 in and adhered to the Pear Pizzazz layer with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
- I stamped the Floral Statments “Thanks” image with Basic Black Archival Ink on Watercolor Paper. I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to make the letters a little more bold black and stand out more. I cut the Watercolor Paper to size, which happens to be 3 1/8 in x 4.25 in. I cut the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock mat and 1/8 bigger on all sides.
- I used the Aqua Painters and Classic Stampin’ Pads to apply color to the rose image. Using small squeezes of water, I applied Rich Razzleberry to the shaded parts of the rose and Sweet Sugarplum to the non-shaded areas to give it depth. I used Pear Pizzazz on all the leaves, I just added multiple layers of color to the shaded area first to darken that area and add dimension.
- I finished off the card with Sweet Sugarplum Cotton Ribbon (discontinued, sorry!) and the all new Metallics Sequins Assortment (glued down with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, a must have!)
Don’t you just love all the wonderful rose designs in the Petal Garden DSP Stack? That is where the inspiration for the color of the rose petals came from! These papers are just GORGEOUS!
I will be making a card with Hello statement from the same stamp set (shown below). I can wait to try it out and see what I can come up with!

Stesha …. love this card. The color combination with the Petal Garden designer paper works perfectly together. Your layout with multiple layers is nice and clean with just enough bling to keep it fresh. Thank you for sharing.
