3-D Thursday: A Coffee Cafe Card Folder
Welcome to my 3-D Thursday Feature ; A Coffee Cafe Card Folder! Today I am showing you a folder that holds a set of 4 – 3.5 x 3.5 square cards and envelopes. I found a similar post on Pinterest from Limedoodle Designs and I took it and made it my own. It was fairly easy to figure out and I am quite smitten with the results…I hope you are too!
The folder is held together with a piece of ribbon that is thread behind your top layer of decor. I cut my ribbon at 20 inches to give me enough room to tie a nice bow.
All items used on the card folder are from the Coffee Break Suite of Products. The Suite consists of 8.5 x 11 Cardstock Pack, Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, Coffee Cafe Photopolymer Bundle of Stamps and Coordinating Dies, Corrugated Elements and Classic Weave Ribbon in 3 colors. You can see all products available online by clicking on the picture below and visiting my store.
The inside of the folder contains two pockets, one of each side to hold envelopes and cards. All envelopes were made with the Envelope Punch Board and the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper so that they would coordinate perfectly with the 3.5 x 3.5 cards. I thought it would be cute to use the Labeler Alphabet to add labels for Envies and Cards.
Since the pocket is only 1/4 inch thick, I needed to keep the cards simple with very little dimension. I did not use my usual go-to adhesive of Stampin’ Dimensionals because I knew it would be too hard to fit into the pocket. All images are adhered with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
I used the same main image on all four cards, the Woodgrain Coffee Cup with the Life Happens Coffee Helps Sentiment. Both can be quickly cropped with the coordinating dies. The additional images were fussy cut with Paper Snips from the Coffee Break DSP. The heart is from the Corrugated Elements, all part of the Coffee Break Suite.
In the photo below, you can see how the Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon is threaded behind the top layer of decor. I adhered the top layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that I slip the ribbon behind it. It works perfectly! If you want to keep the ribbon in place, I suggest adding a glue dot to the binding and pressing the ribbon to it.
This would make a perfect gift for any coffee lover! Who doesn’t enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or cappuccino with a friend!
