3-D Thursday: Daisy Delight Desktop Calendar with Drawer
Desktop Calendar Design Credit: The Crafty Spark
Welcome to another 3-D Thursday! Today I am showcasing a Desktop Calendar using the popular Daisy Delight Bundle! I found the design on-line (credit listed above) and watched a YouTube video on how to easily assemble it! It took me about 45 minutes to put together, start to finish. It was much easier than I had first anticipated and I am so happy that I created it! (It was a special request from my sister).
Desktop Calendar Supplies:
- Stamp Set | Bundle: Daisy Delight Photopolymer Bundle: Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Coordinating Daisy Punch
- Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder Cardstock, Shimmery White Cardstock (for the Watercolor Daisies), Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- Inks: Smoky Slate (for stamped daisy outline only), Old Olive (stamped leaves). The following colors were applied with an Aqua Painter: Wisteria Wonder (daisy petals), So Saffron (daisy center), Calypso Coral (small flowers), Old Olive (small flower center)
- Tools: Stampin’ Trimmer, Simply Scored, Bone Folder
- Adhesives: Tear & Tape Adhesive (drawer construction), Fast Fuse Adhesive (DSP and Cardstock), Stampin’ Dimensionals (Daisies and Calendar).
- Calendar: You can download the pdf of the calendar I used here: 2017 Calendar . I printed it on Copy Paper at a 3 x 5 size. You may need to test a few with your printer settings.
The inside of the drawer measures 5.5 in x 3.5 in, the perfect size for a 3 x 5 Post-It Note Pad (I didn’t have that size on hand) and a standard sized pen! The overall measurements are: 6 in long x 4 in wide x 1.125 in tall, the perfect size to sit nice and pretty on the top of a desk. Here is an overview of the cardstock cuts:
Wisteria Wonder Cardstock Cuts and Scoring (4 sheets needed):
- Cut 2 pieces to 6″ x 4”
- these will be used for the base and easel top
- Cut 1 piece to 6″ x 8”
- score on the long side at 2″ + 4”
- this creates the easel that sits on top
- Cut 1 piece to 7 1/2″ x 10 1/2″
- scored on the long side (landscape view) at 1/2″ + 1 1/2″ + 2 1/2″ + 8″ + 9″ + 10”
- scored on the short side (portrait view) at 1″ + 2″ + 5 1/2″ + 6 1/2”
- this creates the piece that the drawer slides in and out of
- Cut 1 piece to 7 7/8″ x 8 1/8”
- scored on the long side (landscape view) at 3 1/2″ + 4 5/8”
- scored on the short side (portrait view) at 1 1/8″ x 6 3/4”
- this creates the actual drawer itself

Card Details:
- Card Base is a Whisper White Thick Cardstock cut to 4.25 in x 11 in scored / folded at 5.5 in to make a standard size card.
- 2nd Layer is Old Olive Cardstock cut to 4.125 in x 5.375 in and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Top Layer is Shimmery White Cardstock cut to 4 in x 5.25 in and adhered with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
- All images are from the Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set. The stems and leaves were stamped in Old Olive Ink. The small flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral and then additional color added with an Aqua Painter. The Daisies were stamped first with Smoky Slate Classic Ink. I stamped off twice before stamping on the Shimmery White Cardstock so I had just a vague outline of the daisy. I then used an Aqua Painter to add the Wisteria Wonder on So Saffron color. I punched them out with the Daisy Punch and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Thank You sentiment was stamped directly on the Shimmery White Top Layer in Old Olive ink. The For Your Kindness sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral.
I snipped a few petals off the daisy so that they would follow the straight line of the top layer of cardstock.
