Welcome to my all new Scrapbook Sunday Blog Feature!

Since my first love was scrapbooking (or should I say shopping for scrapbook supplies, lol) I decided that I wanted to incorporate scrapbook pages into my blog posts as often as I can.  Since they do take more time than cards, I am going to do my best to feature a page every Sunday.  It will help me get my albums done and to hopefully inspire all who want to or currently are creating memory books.

I sat down to create this page last night (after a long day of hiking with the 3P’s (Paul, Preston and Parker, my husband and 2 sons shown in the photo above) and the layout just wasn’t working for me.  So I decided I needed to step away for awhile and hoped it would soon come to me…little did I know it would arrive at 2:30 a.m. and prevent me from getting a decent sleep 🙂 Luckily it stuck with me and my pages were born.

I have been wanting to use the little sail boat from the Swirly Bird stamp set and this just happened to be the perfect time.  I used the framelit that represents waves and of course the Letters for You and coordinating Large Letters Framelits Dies (I have used these on almost every page I have created since I purchased them.  I HIGHLY recommend them for both scrapbooking and cardmaking).  I used Marina Mist as my choice of color since the name (and of course color) coordinated well with my page.

This is the part that came to me last night that I was most excited about. I try to print images in wallet size because I like having the size variation on my pages.  It came to me that I could put them into a collage that represented a sail.  So I took a piece of chipboard and I sketched out the shape of a sail, cut it out and then made the photos fit.  I was lucky that every photo I had printed fit onto the shape perfectly!

The suns on both pages were created by cutting the circle out of Shimmery White Cardstock and adding Crushed Curry with an Aqua Painter.  The Every Day is an Adventure sentiment is from the Hostess Stamp Set: Dare to Dream!  One of my favorites in the new 2017-2018 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog!

The A Sunset Sail On title was created with the Hand Lettered Alphabet Set.  I gotta say, this alphabet set was surprisingly easy to line up and very forgiving in regards to keeping it straight.  I am so happy I added it to my set.  The date was stamped with the Labeler Alphabet and my journaling was done on the computer and printed on Whisper White Cardstock.

    • Thank you for the wonderful comment! Just a note, I don’t scrapbook in chronological order! I just grab what inspires me and create with it! I don’t have that many pages done, but I work on them when I can and don’t stress over it. You’ve gotta keep it fun or it won’t get done! 🙂
