Crazy Crafters Blog Hop – Special Guest

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop!

I am so honored and humbled to be asked to be the Special Guest for today’s Crazy Crafters Blog Hop!  The Crazy Crafters are Kylie Bertucci’s (A Top Demonstrator From Australia) Team Members who get together and feature a Blog Hop where they CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a creation from the Special Guest collection!  I sincerely hope that Kylie and her Crazy Crafters were able to find inspiration from my gallery of projects that I have completed.  I have not been blogging long, almost 5 months to the day to be exact.  I hope you enjoy this hop and gain some more inspiration you can apply to your paper crafting creations!

I too needed to choose a past creation of my own to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) so I went with the card I made previously using the Best Birds Photopolymer Stamp Set and Coordinating Birds & Blooms Thinlits Dies. I changed up the colors I used on the birds and flowers and added a few more elements.  It is a bit busier than my rather simplistic card above, but I still LOVE the results.

Details:

• The card base is Whisper White 12 x 12 Cardstock cut in half at 6 in and scored / folded at 6 in to create a square card.
• I reinforced the inside of the card by adhering two pieces of Whisper White Thick Cardstock cut to 5.5 in square to both sides.
• The top layer is Shimmery White Cardstock cut to 5.5 in x 5.5 in.  I applied Soft Sky Classic Ink as a background by tapping the Ink Pad to a piece of Window Sheet. I then sprayed the window sheet with water from a Stampin’ Spritzer. Touch the Window Sheet to the Shimmery White Cardstock randomly until you have coverage in the areas you want to add color.  Let dry, repeat if necessary!
• Wrap Linen Thread several times around the Shimmery White Cardstock and tie with a bow prior to adhering to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• All Images and Sentiments are from the Best Birds Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. All images were colored with an Aqua Painter and the following Classic Inks
  • Birds: Early Espresso and Soft Sky
  • Branch: Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz
  • Flowers and Flower Buds: Berry Burst, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz
• The sentiments were fussy cut with a Paper Snips and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
• All images were cropped with the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform and Coordinating Dies from the Birds & Blooms Thinlits Dies Set. They were also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
