Scrapbook Sunday: You Make Our Hearts Soar, Parker!
Last week I took a break from my Scrapbook Sunday post to participate in a blog hop and also spend some time at the MN State Fair with my family before they returned to school on Wednesday. So this week it’s back and I am featuring a 12×12 layout using some black and white photos of my son Parker that were taken when he was just 2 weeks old.

I love how Jessica captured Parker yawning in this picture, so at peace and enjoying his comfy photography prop blanket. 🙂 I love teal tones with Black and White photos so I decided to use accent pieces in Bermuda Bay. The yawning made me think of soft billowy clouds, so I decided to use the Cloud Pattern Decorative Mask and Embossing Paste in its original white color to add some clouds to the layout. I cut an additional piece of cardstock to 6 x 6 to use for the clouds so that I could pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it look as though it was floating.
The Big Shot is one of my most beloved tools in my craft room. Between it and my Paper Snips, I use them on every creation I make. The following dies were used on this scrapbook layout: Up & Away Thinlits Dies quickly created the Bermuda Bay Hot Air Balloon and Smoky Slate Cloud. The Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies created my most favorite Bermuda Bay Hearts. Last but certainly not least, the Large Letters Framelits Dies, along with the assistance of the coordinating Letters For You Photopolymer Stamp Set created the Hearts Soar Page Title.
I used the Brushwork Alphabet Set to create the ‘You Make Our’ (title) and ‘Parker’. I used Bermuda Bay Classic Ink on Smoky Slate Cardstock. I fussy cut them with a Paper Snips and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals; as I did most all items on the page.
The ♥ and 2 Weeks were hand written with a Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.
I am looking forward to the coming weeks! My order with my 2017 Holiday Catalog items arrives on Monday and I am hoping to jump into a creative cave and mass produce a bunch of samples to share with you! Be sure to check back often to see what I have to inspire you!
