Sunshine & Rainbows for #GDP135 Theme Challenge
Happy Monday Everyone! Sunshine & Rainbows
I am finally back in the game for the GDP! This week the Global Design Project has a fabulous theme challenge: Show Me the Sunshine! and living in WI, the sunshine is so very welcome and feels so nice! I have an array of cards to share with you today! They were all created using the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle, which I felt was perfect for this challenge.
Today’s post brings you six creations using the retiring Sunshine & Rainbows Photopolymer Bundle. I love those little Mini Pizza Boxes and I saw a vision in my mind of a rainbow on the top of it. I used the largest Layering Circle Framelits Dies to crop out a circle and then I placed a piece of Vellum Cardstock behind it. I used an array of colors from the Regals Family to create my rainbow. What do you think?
This card is kind of a mirror image of the Mini Pizza Box. I used the same rainbow of colors but also added some Linen Thread, a small wooden heart from the Hearts & Stars Elements and a shining sun!
I love the sentiments that are included in the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set. The fonts are lovely and I can’t turn down pretty mixed fonts!
With this card, I created the rainbow using the stamps (instead of the dies). I stamped it on Shimmery White Cardstock and then used an Aqua Painter to blend the color so it filled in outside of the stamped lines. I then used a Paper Snips to crop out the entire rainbow as a whole.
On this card, I used the large heart from the Hearts & Stars Elements and colored it with Stampin’ Write Markers to mimic the rainbow. This card makes me thinks of the old Skittles commercial, anyone else think that too?
The unicorn from the Myths & Magic Suite of products pairs perfectly with this Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle, don’t you think? I love the bright and cheery feeling this card portrays.
And last but not least is the card that is bringing on the sunshine! I created a little shaker card using punches, dies, and vellum, along with the Gold Flakes. Crushed Curry is one of my favorite colors, and I think it works well for the sun!
