Welcome to the July 2019 Artisan Blog Hop!
The Stampin’ Up! 2019 Artisan Design Team has so many amazing creations for you to see! I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs! This blog hop will feature creations using the Perennial Essence Suite of Products from the all-new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
Gift Bags! I really dislike spending money on expensive gift bags, so I am one to either re-gift or buy a cheap bag and decorate it myself. Stampin’ Up! makes a really cute Copper Dotted Treat Bag! They are perfectly sized for a small gift such as jewelry, Stampin’ Up! embellishments, and cookies! YES! These babies are FOOD SAFE!
If this is your first time stopping by my blog, I truly want to thank you for being here! I am so very honored. I do my best to provide inspiration as well as step-by-step instructions to my creations so that you can make them too! I hope that the 2019 Artisan Hop helps you to fall in love with the beauty of the Perennial Essence Suite of products! I sure have!

The Perennial Essence Suite contains the following products:
- Floral Essence Bundle #151055
- Floral Essence Stamp Set #149450
- Perennial Flower Punch #149522
- Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper #149100
- Perennial Essence 12×12 Vellum Cardstock #149101
- Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon #149441
- Perennial Essence Floral Centers #149442
The gift bag above was created as follows:
1) Rub a piece of Vellum Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy. This removes the static from the cardstock and will ensure the Stampin’ Emboss Powder only sticks to the stamped areas.
2) Use the Stamparatus to stamp the flowers in Versamark Ink (qty 6) onto the Vellum Cardstock. Cover with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Crop with the coordinating Perennial Flower Punch.
3) Use Stampin’ Blends (Premium Alcohol Markers) to color the backside of the cropped flowers. I used the Light & Dark of the Night of Navy, Petal Pink, & Pineapple Punch. The alcohol dries quickly on Vellum and lightens quite a bit. I recommend several layers to obtain a nice depth of color. Connect two sets of petals together with a Copper Metallic Brad. Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals. NOTE: I doubled up the dimensionals on the center flower to make it pop a bit higher than the other two.
4) Rub a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy. Stamp the sentiments (“for you” – Itty Bitty Greetings) in Versamark Ink. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Trim the center sentiment to 1/2 x 2 1/4. Trim the “for you” to 3/4 x 2. Flag the end with the Tailored Tag Punch. Fold and add to the top of the Copper Dotted Treat Bag with a Mini Library Clip. Adhere the center sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The gift bags I am sharing with you today only use the Floral Essence Bundle from the Perennnial Essence Suite. You can see the bundle in my online store by clicking the link here: FLORAL ESSENCE BUNDLE
The gift bag above was created using the following steps:
1) Rub a piece of Vellum Cardstock with an Embossing Buddy. This removes the static from the cardstock and will ensure the Stampin’ Emboss Powder only sticks to the stamped areas.
2) Use the Stamparatus to stamp the flowers (qty 3) and leaves (qty 6) in Versamark Ink onto the Vellum Cardstock. Cover with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool. Crop the leaves with the coordinating Leaf Punch. Snip the flowers with Paper Snips.
3) Use Stampin’ Blends (Premium Alcohol Markers) to color the backside of the cropped flowers. I used the Light & Dark of the Blackberry Bliss, Rococo Rose, & Pretty Peacock. The alcohol dries quickly on Vellum and lightens quite a bit. I recommend several layers to obtain a nice depth of color. Add Copper “button” Metallic Brads to the center of the flowers.
Trim the center sentiment to 3/4 x 2 3/8. Trim the “for you” to 3/4 x 2. Flag the end with the Tailored Tag Punch. Fold and add to the top of the Copper Dotted Treat Bag with a Mini Library Clip. Adhere the center sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A little background on Stampin’ Up!’s Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper:
What’s the next best thing to having one of Claude Monet’s paintings hanging in your home? Stampin’ Up!’s Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper! One of Stampin’ Up!’s product designers, Julie Alusa, went to New York and was so inspired by Monet’s works of art, she decided to paint her own masterpiece. In her own words: “While I was admiring Monet’s massive water lily paintings at the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan, I was inspired to do a Monet-esque page in the Designer Series Paper of impressionistic water lilies.” So now you can have a little taste of Monet with this beautiful Designer Series Paper. Hand-painted and gorgeous, this paper will go great with any project—even if it’s just for yourself!
The card below was created using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Isn’t is gorgeous? It definitely takes the creation up a notch and the work is done for you! Don’t have it in your DSP stash? What are you waiting for?
