Come Sail Away Suite of Products by Stampin' Up! Home Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot! 2019 Artisan Design Team

Welcome to the June 2019 Artisan Blog Hop!

The Stampin’ Up! 2019 Artisan Design Team has so many amazing creations for you to see!  I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs!  This blog hop will feature creations using the Come Sail Away Suite of Products from the  all-new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

My wall art showcases the amazing elements from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.  The photo was taken several years ago on Lake Tainter, during one of our many evening cruises on the pontoon. Sunsets on the water are the best! I love that I now have a piece of wall art that reminds me of how beautiful nature can be.

The Memories & More card pack made these wall hangings a quick and easy collaboration.  The sticker elements were easy peasy to apply, I just peeled (added Stampin’ Dimensionals on some) and placed where I wanted them.  Other elements were snipped from the Memories & More cards and Designer Series Paper.   You can watch a video below showing the amazing products that are included in the Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack.

The Sail Away Trinkets and Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine add the perfect enhancements to a paper craft project.  They are subtle but eye-catching…does that make sense?  Lol!

My large wall art hanging plays off the blues of the water in my photo, the color of the elements I used pairs perfectly, don’t you think?  The photo below shows the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and how it compliments the Memories & More Card Packs.  The mat below my photo is the first piece of Designer Series Paper shown on the left.

With the small wall art hanging, I decided to play off the color tones of the wood.  Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede pair together and “Set Sail In the Direction of Your Dreams”.  A perfect sentiment snagged from the coordinating Sailing Home Stamp Set.

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

I decided that I wanted to create a project that used the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint.  So I grabbed a piece of canvas I had been saving for a rainy day and started painting it.   It looked beautiful, definitely has a gorgeous shimmer.  I decided that I wanted to keep the theme of the kit, so I added a couple swashes of Night of Navy and Melon Mambo Ink.

Everything is Rosy Product Medley Artisan Design Team Blog Hop May 1 2019 - Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Ultimately, I wanted this to be a frame for a single photo.  So I added the Rose Gold Foil Sheet and framed it with flowers created from the dies and Designer Series Paper.

Use a paint brush to cover a 12 x 12 canvas with the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint.  Add Night of Navy and Melon Mambo brushstrokes as desired.

Adhere a 6 x 6 piece of Rose Gold Foil to the center of the canvas with a hot glue gun.

Use the dies & a die-cutting machine to crop large and small flowers of the Everything is Rosy Designer Series Paper.  TIP: I cropped 4 sheets at a time to speed things up. It worked well.  Adhere the small flower to the large flower with a Mini Glue Dot.  Adhere the Rose Gold Adhesive-Backed Mirrored Embellishments to the center of the small flower.  Adhere to the outside of the Rose Gold Foil with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the large leaves in Versamark Ink onto the Rose Gold Foil.  Cover with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Crop with a die-cutting machine and coordinating dies from the kit.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals or Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp the sentiment (Everything is Rosy Stamp Set) in Night of Navy Ink onto a Rose Gold Foil Die-Cut Label.  Adhere the floral Rose Gold Die-Cut Label to the left side with a Mini Glue Dot.  Adhere a flower made from Designer Series Paper as shown.  Take the small rose gold foil dots that were removed from the label edge and adhere them to the label with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  TIP:  Use the Take Your Pick tool to easily move the small dots around and set them into place.  Adhere the “gift label” to the center of the Rose Gold Foil with a Mini Glue Dot.  (This allows the recipient to easily remove and replace with a photo).

        Birthday Wands:

Cut four 1″ x 6″ pieces of Designer Series Paper.  Score at every 1/4″.  Fold on the score line, alternating direction at each fold.  Adhere two pieces together via the ends with Tear N Tape.  Form into a rosette and adhere with a Hot Glue Gun. TIP:  I crop a small circle of cardstock and use that to add my hot glue and then place my rosette on top of it.

Crop a large and small flower using the dies (Everything is Rosy) & a die-cutting machine.  Adhere together with a Mini Glue Dot.  Add a Rose Gold Adhesive-Backed Mirror Embellishment to the center.  Adhere to the rosette with hot glue.

Cut several strips of ribbon (Night of Navy/Rose Gold Metallic Edge & Melon Mambo Ruched) at various lengths.  Adhere the ribbon and the stick (I used a skewer) to the rosette with lots of hot glue.

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Welcome to the April 2019 Artisan Blog Hop!

My random thought:  I almost didn’t order this suite…I debated, and debated…but I am so glad I stopped debating…because I love it and all the creations and inspiration from the rest of the 2019 Artisan’s. This suite is retiring on June 3rd, or while supplies last…so if you like what you see, order soon!

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

If this is your first time stopping by my blog, I truly want to thank you for being here!  I am so very honored.  I do my best to provide inspiration as well as step-by-step instructions to my creations so that you can make them too!

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

The Needlepoint Nook Suite consist of the Needle & Thread Bundle, Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons, Old Olive Linen Thread & Needlepoint Nook Cardstock Pack.  All are discontinued and only available until June 3, 2019 or While Supplies Last.

The Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper is so nice because it offers so many varieties of color combinations.  I decided to use the beautiful and bright piece of stitched Poppy Parade.  Lately my creations have been using a lot of white, so I decided to go with a drastic change and add a nice bright pop of color.

Cut a piece of the Poppy Parade Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper to 5 3/4 x 10.  Score at 5/8, 5, 5 5/8, .  Fold at the score lines and slide into the Acetate Card Box.

Wrap an 11″ piece of Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon around the Acetate Card Box, adhering end-to-end (so it will be hidden under the focal image) with a Mini Glue Dot.

Wrap 3 loops of Old Olive Linen Thread around the Poppy Parade Ribbon, securing as shown with a bow.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the leaf images & sentiment in Old Olive Ink, large flowers in Poppy Parade Ink, and smaller flowers in Crushed Curry Ink.  Crop with a Die Cutting Machine, Plate and coordinating dies from the Needlepoint Elements Dies Set (Part of the Needle & Thread Bundle). Layer and adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Pretty Label Punch to crop the sentiment (the dies only emboss and stitch).  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tie pieces of Old Olive Linen Thread to the center of three Needlepoint Nook Buttons.  Adhere to the center of the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.

Add Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Flower Sequins as shown.  Color Pearl Basic Jewels with a Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Adhere to the center of the flower sequins.

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

I love all the color options offered in this Designer Series Paper.  Stampin’ Up!’s samples in the graphic below is the perfect example of the multitude of bright or subtle colors you can use with this suite.  I am anxious to create another Acetate Card Box with the blue butterfly design from this Designer Series Paper Set.

Well Said Cling Bundle by Stampin' Up! 150609

Click on the image above to see all the products included in the Needlepoint Nook Suite via my Online Store.  Keep in mind, they are being discontinued at the end of the 2019 Occasions Catalog run (June 3rd) and are only available While Supplies Last.  Snag them while you still can!

Needlepoint Nook Suite from Stampin' Up! Card and Holder by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

The cards that created to slip inside the Acetate Card Box mimic the look and feel of the decor I used on the box.  I stuck with the same colors, shapes and elements, but added a few more options available in the bundle.  Do you see that Designer Series Paper playing peek-a-boo on the sides of the card?  It is the same Designer Series Paper used on the Acetate Card Box but since it was so prominent on the box, I decided to make it subtle on the card.

Don’t you love that stitched design on the card layer?  So easy to create with the die included in the bundle!

Cut a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score and fold at 5 1/2″.

Cut a piece of the Poppy Parade Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  Adhere to the card base with Snail Adhesive.

Cut a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.  Wrap with a piece of Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon adhering with Snail to the backside.

Use a Clear Block A to stamp the small flowers in Crushed Curry Ink. Crop with a Die Cutting Machine, plate and coordinating dies.  Crop the additional pieces shown using the dies: label, leaves (Needlepoint Elements) and Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper.

Wrap Old Olive Linen Thread around the Poppy Parade Ribbon, threading and tying via the ends of the label die cut.

Use a Clear Block G to stamp “friend” in Versamark Ink onto Vellum Cardstock.  Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess, and set with a Heat Tool. Use a Die Cutting Machine and the stitched dies to surround the sentiment.  Crop with the Pretty Label Punch.  Crop a piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper with the Pretty Label Punch.  Adhere together with Mini Glue Dots.

Use a Clear Block G to stamp the “Happiest Birthday” in Old Olive Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Trim to size & flag the end with the Classic Label Punch.

Assemble all die cuts as shown, adhering with Mini Glue Dots. Mini & Regular Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use a Clear Block A to stamp the butterflies in Poppy Parade Ink.  Add Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Flower Sequins as shown.  Color Pearl Basic Jewels with a Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. Adhere to the center of the sequins.

The Geared Up Garage Bundle is perfect for a masculine paper craft creation.  I decided to stick with two cards to inspire you.

        Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Use a Stampin’ Trimmer to cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11″.  Score and fold at 5 1/2″.

Cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Classic Garage 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″. Use a Clear Block B to stamp the nut trio in Versamark Ink randomly onto the DSP.  Cover with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Big Shot to crop a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with the gear die (Garage Gear Thinlits). Press the Versamark Pad directly onto the cardstock, but be care to not cover the entire die cut. Cover with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.  Snip the die cut in half.  Adhere as shown with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Classic Garage 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 2 x 4 1/8″.  Wrap the left end with Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine, thread through a key from the Classic Garage Metal Elements and secure with a bow.   Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Big Shot to crop a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with the 2 3/8″ Stitched Circle Framelit Die. Cut a 90 angle in the bottom right.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the “Best Dad” image in Pumpkin Pie Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.  Blend with a Blender Pen.  Crop with the Big Shot and coordinating die.

Use the Big Shot to crop a piece of Basic Black Cardstock with the coordinating die (sign frame).  Press the edges into a Versamark Pad, cover with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, flick to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.

Stamp the car image in Jet Black Stāzon onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Crop with the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, and coordinating Garage Gear Thinlit Die.  Color with an Aqua Painter, Smoky Slate and Pumpkin Pie Ink.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add 6 Basic Black Best Route Enamel Shapes for the final touch.

Pear Pizzazz! Such a pretty color and so expressive when used in watercolor. The Shimmer Ribbon is gorgeous and I don’t grab it enough.  The clear Frosted Flower Embellishments added the perfect touch to complete the card.

Sweetest Thing Card and Candy Jar Decor

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Hi Everyone!  Today I am hoping to inspire you to give your Aqua Painters (item 103954) a bit of a workout!  It is one of the most used tools in my craft room and I hope to motivate you to give yours a try.

Shimmery White Cardstock (item 101910) is the perfect receptor of color from an Aqua Painter. My card base is a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2” x 11” Thick Cardstock (item 140272) cut with the Stampin’ Trimmer (item 126889) to 5 ½” wide x 8 ½” tall, then scored at 4 ¼”, resulting in a card that is perfectly sized to fit a Whisper White Medium Envelope (item 107301).

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Use the Big Shot (item 143263), Big Shot Embossing Mat (item 146327), and largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die (item 148551) to create a sandwich to emboss a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock and trim to size. Use the large brush tip Aqua Painter to wet the cardstock, first with water, and then with the following Classic Ink Colors: Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 147098), Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 147052), and Crushed Curry Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 147087).  Tip: Squeeze your Stampin’ Pad together to transfer ink to the inside cover, which can then be used as your palette to grab color with an Aqua Painter. Allow the cardstock to dry completely, gently bend as needed to return to shape and adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals (item 104430).

Use a Clear Block D (item 118485) for the jar images & a Clear Block B (item 117147) for the lollipop image from the Sweetest Thing Stamp Set (item 148575). Use 2nd generation stamping (stamp off on scratch paper) to stamp Smoky Slate Classic Ink (item 147113) onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Crop with the coordinating Jar of Sweets Framelits Dies (item 148524), a Big Shot and the Magnetic Platform (item 130658).

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Use the medium brush Aqua Painter to add Pacific Point Ink to jars, starting with color on the left side and slowly spreading it to the right.  Allow to dry slightly and then add more color as needed until you get the desired result.   Add color to the lollipops using the medium brush Aqua Painter and the same colors as the 2nd layer (Pacific Point, Flirty Flamingo, & Crushed Curry).

A Paper Snips (item 103579) works well to remove the muslin and separate the top of the jar (center).  Adhere the newly separated top to the side of the jar with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (item 144108).  You now have an open jar to add your lollipops.

Use the Big Shot to crop a piece of Vellum 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock (item 101856) with the second-largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die. Adhere all jars and lollipops to the vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Use the Stamparatus (item 146276) to stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink (item 102283) onto Basic Black Cardstock (item 121045) that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy (item 103083).  Cover the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (item 109132), flick to remove the excess, and set with a Heat Tool (item 129053).  Trim closely with a Stampin’ Trimmer and flag the end with a Paper Snips.  Adhere to the vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere the vellum to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals that are hidden behind the jars and sentiment.  Add some Gray Granite Best Route Enamel Shapes (item 146900) for an added touch.

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

A perfect way to step-up or decorate a jar is by adding a colorful rosette to the front of it.  To create the rosettes, start with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock cut to 5” wide.  Add the colors with an Aqua Painter (same steps as the card) and allow to dry completely. Cut six 1 ¼” x 5” strips.  Use a Simply Scored (item 122334) tool to score every ¼”. Fold the score lines, alternating directions every fold. Adhere the ends of two strips together with Tear & Tape Adhesive (item 138995).  Form into a rosette and glue together with a hot glue gun Note: 6 strips creates three rosettes.

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Crop three pieces of Vellum Cardstock using the Starburst Punch (item 143717). Use the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies (item 141488) to crop the banner from the colored Shimmery White Cardstock.  Adhere the banner to the vellum starburst with Mini Glue Dots (item 103683).  Adhere to the rosette with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Create the jars, label, and sentiments in the same way as the card (steps listed above) and adhere together and to the rosette with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sweetest Thing Bundle by Stampin' Up! Card and Candy Decor by Stesha Bloodhart, Stampin' Hoot!

Add Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine (item 124262) or similar to the jar topper.

I hope I have inspired you to give that Aqua Painter a try!  It does take a little bit of practice, but I feel the results are well worth it!
