Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Birthday Bash. We really hope that you will be inspired by the creations that the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would enjoy hearing from you by leaving a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My Happy Birthday card is a 6×6 square that showcases the New Horizons Designer Series Paper along with the Windmill Fields Dies and Special Moments Stamp Set. A perfect pairing to set a tranquil scene that’s sure to wow the recipient.

The New Horizons 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper might possibly be the most beautiful patterned paper you’ll ever buy. These horizon scenes were hand-painted by one of our talented artists. The tranquil watercolor imagery will look beautiful as a background on a card front or on a scrapbook page. It’s versatile, too. Turn the paper upside down to change water to sky or whatever you can imagine.
Product colors: Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent

Begin but cutting a piece of Basic White 12×12 Cardstock to 6 x 12. Score and fold at 6.
Adhere a 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock to both the inside of the card and the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Cut a piece of New Horizons Designer Series Paper to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Adhere as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment (Special Moments) in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink onto the “water” of the New Horizons Designer Series Paper.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the following:
- Basic White Cardstock – Fence (Horizon Dies), Small Fences (Windmill Fields), Clouds, Windmill Blades (x4), and Detailed Windmill
- Evening Evergreen Cardstock – Bike
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (colored with a Water Painter & Soft Suede Ink) – Solid Windmill and Detailed Windmill
Assemble the windmill as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. NOTE: Adhere the four blades together to make it more sturdy.
Build the scene as shown by adhering pieces to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the windmill with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wanted the windmill to look more realistic so I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, along with Soft Suede Classic Ink and a Water Painter to make it look more like wood.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created!
Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 9th. Our theme will be Cute Critters where our Design Team creates a project with any kind of animals, birds, butterflies or insects.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Another gorgeous card Stesha! Every card you make is a work of art!!!
A great landscape for the windmill! And the windmill itself is awesome!
Wow, that is stunning!
Such a beautiful scene! I need to play with that big windmill…thanks for the inspiration!
Stesha, I LOVE your windmill scene!
Beautiful as always!
Gorgeous Stesha! Such a beautiful scene.
Such a great card, Stesha! I really like your windmill. Thanks for joining the blog hop this month!
Every time I look at your card I see more fun details! Like that skinny fence angled behind the windmill! A work of art, Stesha!
Thank you so much, Karen!
I love this card so much that I had to copy it. Four layers of the windmill really makes it easier to spin. I’m kicking myself for not buying more of the Horizons DSP. This card used my last piece of that design. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
