TGIF! It’s time for a TECHNIQUE Challenge!
Decorative Masks! I need to use these more often as they give so much dimension and depth to paper craft creations. The Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks are probably one of my favorite ever! The layering is genius and the designs are fabulous! Love everything about them.
I looked at this decorative mask and immediately thought of a rainbow design. So I added Classic Ink Refill drops to quarter size dollops of Embossing Paste and spread in the order of a rainbow. Love the results.

Begin by taping the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Mask to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock.
Place a quarter-sized dollop of Embossing Paste onto a Silicone Mat. Add a drop of Real Red Classic Ink Refill. Mix with a Palette Knife. Spread across the decorative mat, about 1 1/2 rows. Repeat with the following colors: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, and Gorgeous Grape.
Remove the decorative mat and allow to dry (about 5 min). Use a Paper Trimmer to cut the piece down to 3 3/4 x 5. Adhere to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Basic White Cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals. ‘ Di
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Set with a Heat Tool. Crop with the coordinating Sending Die and a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Mini or Standard). Adhere with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to crop the following: A piece of Vellum Cardstock with the drop shadow “Sending” die-cut. A piece of Basic Black Cardstock with the “Sending” die-cut. Adhere together and to the card with Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue.
Embellish with Black Classic Matte Dots and Sparkle & Shine Sequins.
A rainbow pattern always makes me smile, how about you?

What is your favorite decorative mask? Do you like to use Embossing Paste, a Blending Brush or Sponge Daubers to decorate?
