tgifc368 Challenge – Symbols of Fortune & Brilliant Wings

Create this card using the Brilliant Wings Dies and Symbols of Fortune by Stampin' Up! Card by Stesha Bloodhart for #TGIFC368 Sketch Challenge

TGIF! It’s time for a SKETCH Challenge!

I love this sketch!  When I took to my craft desk to create, I first grabbed my tray of “trash”, aka my previous pieces that didn’t make the cut.  I pulled out the a gingko flower die-cut that I leftover and based my card on that.  The project uses products from the Symbols of Fortune Suite Collection, the Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set, Brilliant Wings Dies, and the NEW Stylish Shapes Dies.

My favorite part of the Symbols of Fortune Suite Collection is the Color Combinations!  It speaks directly to my creative heart.

Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock.  Score and fold at 5 1/2.

Layer and adhere the following together as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue:

  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock – 1/2 x 5
  • Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper – 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
  • Soft Succulent Cardstock – 1 1/2 x 4

Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Mini or Standard) to crop a piece of Basic White Cardstock with the gingko flower from the Good Fortune Dies.  Use a Sponge Dauber to add a pop of color with Calypso Coral Classic Ink.  Adhere to the the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Crop a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the 2-5/8″ stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals…strategically positioned behind the butterfly die-cuts.

Crop a piece of Basic White Cardstock and a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock with the Brilliant Wings Dies. Add Soft Succulent Classic Ink to the wings of the Basic White Butterfly with a Blending Brush. Adhere together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Crop with the Stylish Shapes Die.  Snip the end at a slant with Paper Snips.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Embellish with Polished Dots.
